Okay Teresa...you inspired me....

I was listening to this week's podcast and was inspired by you buying a swimsuit and just having fun.

I have been kind of worried about the upcoming cruise. Like you I usually sit in shorts and dangle my feet in. I don't want to scare anyone by my figure and pale white skin. But as I listened to your remarks about buying a suit and just enjoying yourself, I agreed with you. So for the cruise, I will put on my one piece swimsuit and just enjoy myself. This is my first cruise and I want to have fun and not worry about what others will think. Now granted I will be in a one piece (a bikini is out of the question ) and I will wear my shorts (because I am still modest) and will pour on the sunscreen because I can't tan unless you spray it on , and just enjoy the days.

So Teresa come join me in your swimsuit and I will be in mine and we will just enjoy the cool water together... (okay, did that statement just sound weird )...others, of course, are invited to join as well .

I also was happy to hear that Teresa "took the plunge" and enjoyed what sounds like a terrific pool at the Hilton. I swim everyday with people of all shapes and sizes, and, trust me, no one cares what you look like. In my many years using a gym pool, I can't recall one instance of catty remarks or insults directed at plus-size swimmers. Have fun!

I will join you. After I got in the pool and Grace said she had never seen me in a swim suit and the happy look on Stella's face, I knew it only mattered to me what I looked like. All the times I missed only because I was worried what others would think..... Life is too short.

All sorts of people in the water in all sorts of shapes and sizes wearing all sorts of suits from full coverage to teeny tiny skimpy. Sure, people think and may say whatever. Never mind them.
It is so much fun to splash about in the water!

I have to say, it was nice to hear that Teresa took the plunge. I feel very uncomfortable in a swimsuit...it isn't a pretty picture. I do it for my daughter and I also look at it this way - I will never see these people again (when I am on vacation)....so I don't care if my skin blinds them (very pale) and if I have some extra pounds...it is what it is.

Sounds like you look pretty much the same as me - if we could see each other through our dark glasses! Don't forget the big sun hat.
