Do they call you when they come in - or contact you somehow - or do you just take your little slip and go pick it up? Never done it before and we preordered Monsters, Inc (gonna be very hard not to watch it before giving it to dd for Christmas!!!! LOL)

I think you just take your little slip and go pick it up.At least,I know that's how they do it at Best Buy where DH works.:) He preordered it for me on Tues and I'm getting it on Thurs for my birthday!Whoohoo! We were SERIOUSLY tempted to buy it when the grocery store (illegally!)put it out last Fri but we knew if we did that,we'd be helping the grocery store commit a crime(breaking the official release date) and I was SORELY tempted to call Buena Vista and tell them which grocery store was breaking the 'street' date.I know from DH telling me that if you break the 'street' date of a video/dvd/video game you can get fined up to 25 grand for doing so.

Ursula,
Happy B-day! (you're the day after me). You can call TDS to report the store. The CMs may choose to call the proper people. We did that at our store. But you have to call before the release date so you have proof. They were selling it WAY in advance (usually stores only cheat by a day). My TDS boss also said that those stores can lose their right to sell Disney movies in the future.

Oh, and we never called people when the movies came in. You just picked them up.
