I need ideas for a good bag to carry around in the parks. I am not into fanny packs, and I think that a regular backpack is too big. Please give me input on what type of bag (and where I can buy it) you prefer to carry around in the parks. Thanks!!!!!!!!!! :sunny: :teeth: :earsgirl:  :cool1: :wizard:

Get a mini backpack that is very light, like the drawstring ones they have at old navy. they are easy to carry and store a lot of stuff. plus they have fun tropical prints :flower:

We found some nice little bags at WalMart. THey were mixed in with the back packs. They are made by Eastport and are called gear bags. They are just big enough to carry essentials for the parks!

I got a mini-backpack at Wal-Mart too. Its the perfect size! Bigger than a fanny pack but smaller than a large backpack. Love it!

I brought a very small purse with a long strap with me last trip...didn't work...unfortunately I tend to carry alot of crap and I don't like to have a seperate bag for my camera, so while we were there I bought a black nylon Disney tote and it worked perfect...I love that thing and still use it. It isn't too big...well, for me it's not...it's about as tall and wide as a magazine. I liked it because it, has zipper pockets on each side and fits right under my arm when carrying it. It's probably a bit bigger than most prefer, but I've never liked backpacks or fanny packs and this was perfect.

There's a bag that QVC sells.. Item # F9143. It's under $18. Great for traveling, you can wear it three different ways. www.qvc.com

I love my Nike gear bag. It is a very lightweight nylon bag with long drawstrings that are very comfortable. You can find them in any sneaker store, Old Navy, Kohl's, etc.

I hope that helps.

This is a GREAT bag for the parks, lightweight and roomy! It also happens to be DIS green!

i have the greatest bag that a friend made for me... it's a tote bag a little bigger than a magazine, has pouch pockets on the front (three of them, one for camera, one for autograph books and sharpies and one for pressed penny book)... inside has a zipper compartment for valuables and three more pouches (one for benedryl and epi pen, one for bandaids and moleskin, and one for wet ones and spwipes)... the other side has a magnet snap closure that's just one big pouch that holds snacks... i love it because it is very lightweight (made of cotton), very sturdy, has a great thick strap that i can wear diagonally (and it doesn't hurt/weigh down my back) and holds a ton of stuff if necessary! i keep telling her to market them, but she's not done it yet... when she does, i'll post a link here!

I created a post called Backpack or Messenger bag poll and there are 3 pages... many people seemedto like a Baggallini bag so I ordered one. Curious to see how it is. We have a backpack at home but it was too big I felt for what we were going to carry. I hate having extra space in a bag - same way with my purses I get small purse to fit just what I need and nothing more... here is the post if you want some ideas.

I just lengthen the strap of my fanny pack and wear it cris-crossed over my shoulder.

I try to vary how I wear it so no muscle gets
sore.

As a native from Indiana (the home of Vera Bradley), it is the way to go! I always take one of my Mimi backpacks to the parks and it is the perfect size. As a matter of fact, a few years ago, my friend and I went with our Mimis and people kept asking us where we got them. They thought we bought them at WDW!
The new Apple Green color is great for all the Disers to carry! :goodvibes

another vote for a mini backpack! I bought one from wal-mart in the camera section. It's actually a camera bag, but it has enough room for lots of other things, but it's not very big at all, I think it will be perfect!

May sound silly but do you keep taking off your backpack everytime to get the camera to take the pictures? Or is the camera kept in a different bag? Mine is too big to fit into my pocket and too heavy to carry around my neck.

You can wear it as a backpack, but I wear mine just over one shoulder like a purse. It's lightweight enough that you can do this without your shoulder being sore all day. Also another idea for you, get one of those key chains that has a clip on one end, attach your camera strap (short strap) to the key ring and then clip it to your belt loop or the strap of your backpack for easy access.

yep...that's why I never bring a backpack to the parks. PITA taking it on and off every time you need something.

I love my Healthy Bag by Ameribag. It is a tear shaped bag that goes over one shoulder. It has tons of pockets and the main zipper is against your shoulder/back so I feel totally secure carrying all my stuff. I have the extra small nylon and even with all my stuff it doesn't get too heavy or bulky.

Bags???

I have an old one.

She is in the kitchen cooking my dinner. :rotfl2:

Man if she reads this I am dead. :rotfl:

I have this cool bag which is like a backpack or you can sling it off one shoulder it is mesh on the top half and the bottom has a cooler that will hold 6 cans of pop or water it is awsome you can carry cold things and all your stuff like camera money ect and isn't large or heavy I got it from walmart I think!
