Okay, just started looking into a Disney Cruise...

Just a thought...you may want to look at RCCL Oasis or Allure...they will both have the new kids entertainment lineup from Shrek...I think there are going to be characters, meals, and a show??

Maybe that would be fun for your kids? not to mention the new ships...

I am a little biased as we are booked on the Oasis for next May. We considered Disney Dream...but the shorter cruise and the higher price made it unappealing to us. So we went with Oasis....great prices for May 2011 right now....

Freedom class will have Dremaworks also- very reasonably priced and we LOVED all the activities on the ships, HUGE kids water play zone, huge pools, flowrider, rock wall, ice skating, etc. etc.

We still love Disney but now alternate every other year with RCCL and DCL.

Boy - I'm getting excited and scared about our cruise all at the same time. Excited to be going, scared that we're going to get hooked - I was looking at this as a once in a lifetime trip sort of thing! But now I want to try all the cruises

Oh Jen, sooooo easy to get hooked. We cruised in Aug, and re-booked on board for Oct 2011. Well, only home 3 days, decided we couldn't wait that long, and bam! Booked a cruise for Jan. Plus, DH is obsessed with being gold CC members by the end of 2011............

That's looking more likely with DCL having to wait until 2012. We did the Nickelodeon cruise on Freedom of the Seas last August and it was great (although we got screwed on the price by booking early - towards the end, they were practically giving staterooms away to fill the ship). They said they would be coming out with the 2010 Nick cruise info shortly and never did. Then Norwegian announced their agreement with Nickelodeon. I guess RCCL & Nick couldn't come to an agreement. Then, shortly after RCCL announce their partnership with Dreamworks. And now with the Oasis/Allure out, it seems you can get pretty good deals on the Freedom class.

I don't know how we could afford so many cruises, I just signed a whole whack of post dated cheques for the kids' school and extracurricular activities, our December trip (albeit a really extensive one) was decided over buying a new car (which I will need soon to replace my really old one). Seems like the kids' activities cost more and more as they get older. *sigh* kids are expensive, but worth it (most days, lol).

I found a Disney cruise for next summer leaving from our port in town (Wonder, to Alaska)! That will at least save us airfare! Now I need to convince DH...
