Hi, Jen! Today I was wondering where you are. Glad to "see" you! Huh! The animal question is an important one in my book. Never occured to me whether they asked about them or not. I'm a dog person. I definitly cannot see myself with a cat person!!

My checkbook is in shock. At the doc's office this afternoon, he charged me just what they pay for the test...$65...and his very "basic" office visit fee...$50. Cough, cough! This on top of the $200 visit in November! $200 + $115 = $315...cough, cough!! And they complain managed care is killing them!

Besides the drained bank account, how did your doctor visit go? Are you waiting for the test results to find out?

I am a dog person, brought up by dog parents. My exH is a dog person. And my DD6 is a cat person

How's this for throwing money away? Went to the beach Sunday and couldn't find a metered spot, so I parked somewhere else and got a $25 ticket! That was an expensive trip to the beach.

Legs, parking tickets do suck. in 1998 my dad took my car to Concord, MA and he came home with a parking ticket. As i started to get annoyed I looked at it and noticed it was for $5.00. I don't like it when people see little dogs and call them rats, or say "why don't you get a real dog?"

PW My checkbook is in a bit of a hemmorage too. I haven't been paid since christmas (so much for my thrilling jobs!) I should be getting paid for three jobs, but they all won't come until next week. Thank goodness I live in the apartment above my parents. They are lenient with the rent date. BTW Did the visit go well? I hope everything is fine and dandy.

Doc I love seeing broadway shows. Usually I see the shows when they are on Tour here in Boston. One of the perks of my job is knowing people who get me free tickets. I get to see the really sold out stuff though, like The Producers or Lion King, but most everything else. There are two bus companies that will take you from Chinatown in Boston to Chinatown in NYC for 10 each way. Not sketchy at all I took it back on Sunday and it was great except for watching 'The Gangs of New York' It took about 4 hours I'd say. Lion King is going to be in Boston for about 6 months starting in July.

Florida Minnie sounds like you are doing well with the detective.

Just a note to say hello to everyone!! I've been keeping up with your posts.... sure hoping everyone is feeling better soon, both medically and financially!

As most of you know, I started working mid January (first time in over 13 years). Well, my two older dd's are finishing up their second week of school....first time they've ever been to school. (They're 11 and 10.)

This transition stuff is tough. I enjoy hearing about all of you, makes me smile. Thanks!

Thanks for asking, Legs! Yes, I'm waiting. He said he was thinking of putting a rush on it to give me peace of mind...doesn't want me worrying more than necessary. He's such a kind person...today he said he cares about me. Yup...he saw a lot with me as opposed to most patients. I had my first appointment with him when I was pregnant, then Keith died a couple months later. He was truly concerned, thoughtful, and helpful!!

How did you get a dd who is a cat lover? LOL!

Wow -- no pay since December? I thought mine was bad. I have a $3000 bonus check that is 2 weeks overdue. My boss forgot to send the info to corporate (it should have been directly deposited with my regular check), and so they sent out another check in the mail. Problem is, they have my address from 14 months ago. So I'm sure it won't get forwarded; who knows when I'll see that check? It's a good thing I plan ahead and live way beneath my means; I think most people would be screwed if their paycheck was that short. Of course, I don't know yet how much I owe in taxes. It would be nice to get it before April 15, but look at me not worrying! I'm so proud of myself. Hold up -- I just realized I think I'll be on vacation when taxes are due. I had better get a move on that!

It's good to see everyone checking in. Things are slowing down a bit here. What's TB up to?

SuprGro -- is that the type of bus I could take luggage onto? $10 for a 4 hour trip? I am there!!!

-- did your swelling go down? That sounds like a scary infection.

OUCH!! Sounds like the time I parked in the wrong lot the first time I went to the library at FAU. Expensive parking ticket for that!!

You haven't been paid since Christmas? Visit with the doctor itself went okay. I'm actually calm about this so far. When he called me with results from the first test, he told me what he thought was going on. I have a zillion percent faith in his judgment, so I haven't freaked out about it yet. However, if he calls after this comes back with bad news, I will be majorly freaked. I'm saying my prayers though. Thanks, SuprGro!

Hi, Vicki! Great to see you!! Is work going okay? I hope you're enjoying it. Not enjoying a job and having to do it every day is the pitts. And I hope your girls like school. Transitions certainly are difficult. Hope all is well with everyone!!

Doc, It says you can take a piece of luggage and one carry on. There was lots of room under the bus for luggage so it doesn't matter the size of your suitcase. As far as carry on stuff goes, between my friend joanna and I we had about four bags under our seats and in our laps. As long as you don't take up another seat with your luggage then they don't seem to mind. The names of the bus companies are Travel Pack (or Travel Pac) and Fung Wah fungwahbus.com. You will need to do some research on getting to the bus drop off and where you need to go from the bus drop off, because it's a bit out of the way. In Boston you can walk over a few blocks from the theater district to get there. In New york it's a train ride to Times Square.

Well, the swelling is down, but it is still extremely red. Hmmm. Going to the dr in a little bit, so we will see what he says. Got a chance to relax for a few days, due to the fact that dr said I could not work, I think I will tell him I need to go back to work but with a lifting restriction. It hurts when I lift too much. But i need to go back to work. Unfortunately.

SprGro~ Hope your root canal goes better next time. I was too afraid to do that so I just had mine pulled. Not sure which was better. Also I hope your cousin's friend gets the helps he/she needs. Post the details on the contest so we all know what's up.

House of ~ Hope work is good to you, and school is good to your kids.

I hope so, Legs! I did some typing at home today to help out a friend. It actually felt good! LOL! Hmmm...I think I need to get back to work!! How long until this semester is over? I'm anxiously awaiting the appraisal report's delivery!!

Thanks...won't know about the test for a bit. Dating life?...LOL! I've been chatting online with a guy the past few days. Is it just me, or do they move faster than they used to? A word of advice. Do a search on the names of them!! You'll be amazed what comes up! And I miss darling heart throb. He's still gone.

Ok I'm fumng so I need to vent. Brianna was suppose to have her first overnight with her father tomorrow along with meeting her half brother for the first time. He's eleven and I have concerns over their meeting. First her father wants us to lie about her spending the night b/c he's afraid that his son will have a fit if he finds out. I agreed not to say anything, but wasn't going to make Brianna lie. The son was suppose to be there only for the B-day party and then go home and Brianna would be spending the night. I was suppose to be at the B-day party to be there for their interaction. Brianna's father on his own decided to let his son stay till nine or ten that night without me there and told me that it was my problem. I don't think so! So I told him she would be going to the party and my attorney would be notified on Monday. (He has already talked to his but hasn't told her the whole side of the story) I guess I'm kind of happy she's coming down with something and will probably be taking her to the doc tomorrow. I also need to document everytime she's sick now b/c he thinks I make it up. My attorney now has a copy of her medical records from day one to the present. I'm just so mad right now and so sick and tired of all the games he's playing! Can I go scream now!?!?!?

I'm home from CPR class. The teacher was NOT eye candy. But I did love him for the fact the class started at 4 and ended at 5:40 instead of 8. Hmmmm......should I go right home and relieve the sitter??? Let's see- I've got a sitter until 8 and it's Friday night. So I called a gf and met her for drinks and appetizers. It was so much fun! Best CPR class I ever had . The toughest part was finding where the class was located in the hospital.
