Hi, Kathy! Welcome to the Singles' thread. Have fun!!

Tomorrow the appraiser comes! Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! :Pinkbounc Hopefully, things will start moving along after that. I still have to get going on getting things done around here.

Welcome to the new ladies. Barry as a birthday present you don't have to send me any flowers  Did everyone get a three day weekend? I did, and boy did I clean my house. I actually found out what is under that huge pile of stuff in the kitchen. We keep a table and four chairs in that room. How crazy is that? :smooth:

Yeah, but after you do that, people actually expect you to do stuff in that thing called a kitchen.

No three day weekend for me. I had the pleasure of going to an In-service on how to teach my 6th graders to become prepared for the SAT. Ummm...I teach 6th graders. I brought a book with to make sure I used my time wisely! I felt so bad.:p

Thanks, Suzanne! :)

Well, I just closed communication with someone at eharmony. Hmmm...We "connected" 5 days ago and I haven't received a response. Tick...tick...tick...Time's up! LOL! The other one is still around...somewhere. LOL!

I'm still talking with my detective guy. We've been talking about three times a day and we really really seem to have hit it off. What I like about eharmony is that all the communications is saved so if I see an inconsistent info, the axe falls. My detective guy is either really good or he's being completely honest. I haven't gotten a bad vibe from him and I have from others and they received the axe. (I'm being dramatic tonight and by the way I don't own an axe for anyone that is worried!)

Ha I have to do stuff in the kitchen? If it doesn't involve making chocolates, cookies or turkey tacos I don't have a clue. That's why I have a microwave! I hope they really don't expect a sixth grader to take the SAT'S

No they don't expect sixth graders to take the SAT, but the expect me to prepare them. I'm preparing them by what I'm currently doing in the classroom, but if I introduce stuff specifically that's only on the SAT, I thinking it'll be too much. They have enough other testing stuff to worry about right now. Well, it's off to work ya'll. I'll see ya'll later. I have a hockey game tonight! Yippeeee!!!!:hyper:

PW...I actually axed three this morning for their lack of response. I think fairly shortly here, I'll be putting awhole bunch on hold. I'm trying to get something together for this Friday with some friends. Wish me luck!

The top 10 best cities for singles, according to AOL CityGuide:
1. New York, which includes New York City, Long Island, and Northern New Jersey (I was just in NYC and didn't find a date)
2. Los Angeles
3. Orange County, California
4. Washington, D.C.
5. Baltimore
6. San Francisco
7. Chicago
8. Boston
9. Dallas
10. Philadelphia

The cities were ranked based on the number and variety of places for singles to meet other singles. These include bars and restaurants, cultural and sporting events, online personals, and more. The rankings are based on quality and variety of offerings, not simply quantity.

Hold on! I remember reading that topic on AOL recently... you know those "news" stories that they have on their welcome page. And I definitely remember Austin being towards the top. How often do they make these lists, anyway???

Have I mentioned the success I had in Paris, as far as getting "picked up"? LOL! I was there for like a week... I got two invites "back to the apartment" from French guys (one only spoke 3 words of English, and I don't speak French all that well!), got one French guy's e-mail address (cuz he was moving to Orlando possibly), and had two American guys in my tour group literally fighting over me (with words, not blows  ). CRAZY! I hadn't seen the slightest hint of interest from a man in the previous NINE months in Orlando! Well... I can't say these were QUALITY encounters, but hey! A girl needs a little ego boost now and then.

I think this is enough of an excuse to go on vacation more often; what do you think? :p

Hey FM... what does it mean to put someone on hold? I've got 4 or 5 requests for communication, but I am putting off joining for right now. Does this mean I'm going to get the axe for not answering quickly enough?

Could you tell us again where you found that deal for 3 months? I was putting off joining until I could re-read through these posts and find where you mentioned that.

I'll take DC! :teeth:

TigerBear...It went okay I guess. It will take her a few days to check comps and get her report done. Cross your fingers! :)

Jen...Sounds like a good week! LOL! I have a male friend who told me a story about when he was in Europe and ran into a couple Europeans. I'm NOT repeating that story! LOL!
