Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

Nice to see you again, FM!

He loved the gift I made for him! He opened it up and was like, "Wow! This is amazing!" I didn't tell him that I made it at first, I told him that it was an original and that the artist had signed, dated, and numbered it on the back. (Which I did! ;) he he, tricky me!) So he turned it over and was like, "I knew it!" He was so excited and happy, it was exactly the reaction I was hoping for.

Cross the fingers for me! :teeth: At work today I was talking with a guy I work with. He said he has two condos he wants to sell!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc We chatted a bit. It's in my price range, and one of them is 6 miles from work, the other is 8 miles! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc There's one I'm really interested in. It's in an area I've always liked and would love to live in...8 miles from work! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc He has had a tenant there for 11 years. Said he's mentioned her buying it several times to her. She's not making any moves. He's ready to sell. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc So this weekend DS and I will take a drive and see the outside of these two places, the neighborhoods, etc. If I'm interested, he'll show us the inside at another time. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Geez, I hope this works! :faint:

PW- Sounds great! What's their dog policy?

FLM- Welcome back!

Bea- I've seen those figures before but never knew what they were called. Glad he liked it so much.

I'm hoping I hear good news about a job on Tues. My boss is really jerking me around.

PW~I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Legs~Let us know what happens!

Thank you! :) During lunch today I went to see one of them. NOT what I'm looking for. It was a "condo" all right. Two floors of them. Not worth the money in my opinion. Another $30,000 on what this guy wants, and I can have a townhouse. A townhouse is what I want any way. Around here even the townhouses have "condo" associations. Hmmmmm. And the public schools zoned for this neighborhood have problems. Nurses at work told me to stay away from those schools! Enough said.

We'll go look at the other tomorrow, although I'm sure it will also be a condo much the same. But this one is where great schools are. Would LOVE to send DS there! I'm tired of paying $5,000 a year for a private school. :faint: If the second doesn't look interesting, I'll give the realtor a call. She checked into a neighborhood I like and said only one sold in there the past year. GREAT!! A place where people stay! Then she said she lives in that neighborhood and is on the Board. LOLOL! Must be good. And good public schools are around there. If there's nothing available there, I'll start to check Chesapeake. Chesapeake is beautiful! It would be more of a drive, but not too bad. Much better than what I'm driving now.

Suzanne...Don't know when the tenant would be out. I would think he would have to give her 30 days at the very least.

Legs...The first question for the guy at work was...what's the pet policy?! He said it's my condo, I can have my dog. LOL! I'll be asking to see the documents in advance!! And that's EVERYWHERE! And good luck with the job! I'll be crossing my fingers for you!

Bea...Thanks! :)

I'm in what looks like a townhouse but is technically a condo. All that's on the first floor is my front door and my garage. My whole 1800 sq ft. is upstairs on one level. I love being on the 2nd floor. I like the views and I feel very secure. Once you're up, you're up. You don't have to go up and downstairs to get to the bedrooms. And it's very open and large looking because it's all on one level.
There are ground floor units underneath the 2nd floor units.
Is this the type you were looking at?

Yours sounds nice, Legs! If I see something like that, I might consider it. But these had ground units also. As I looked at it, there were four numbers for units. Two top, two bottom. And then there's the hallways where there were obviously others farther down.

Hi, TB, how are you? :wave2:

Lots going on here. Too much for me actually. Still in same house, have someone who took Skippy and is looking for a permanent home for him. She happens to be on the board of the local SPCA. She has 5 dogs of her own...4 of them rescues, the other is a foster pup. She told me DO NOT give up Max. She will get a bunch of people and animal organizations to give the board a fight if necessary. :teeth: :Pinkbounc Along with the media. My kind of lady! :) Says the HOA cannot make you give up a pet! Says most people don't know that. And city ordinance says you can have 5 dogs. :)

House hunting on hold for now. Having an ultrasound Monday, so I'm not doing a thing until I hear back about that. :faint: :( Sister is no help with son in all this. "Family" is what we're SUPPOSED to be able to rely on, right? Ah, well...introduce a man into the picture, and that's out the window. :rolleyes2 She's on vacation with boyfriend. :rolleyes2 DHT is being a jerk right now.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that felt good!! LOL!

PW...my dht is being a pain right now. Started work and found out I have lots more work this year then in the past. AGH! I think I'm going to look at buying a townhouse or maybe a small house next year after my lease is up. Too many kids around here. PLus my neighbor was playing his music so loud that my walls were shaking this afternoon. GRRR!

PW- Skippy must have been a handful. So it looks like you won't have to move. That's great! Hope all goes well with the u/s :goodvibes Have you noticed the new dog smilies?

FLM- Are you doing a different job this year?
Loud neighbors stink. I've lucked out. It's been very quiet here and just the right amount of kids. I think it was louder living in a SF house.

TB- Hi :wave2:

Well, it looks like I got the job. We are in salary negotiations right now.
I have jury duty on Monday. 1st time ever.

Great news Legs! I hope they can afford you. ;)

BB, how is your guy? I was happy to hear he liked your gift! :goodvibes

FM, my DBF is starting to look into buying a house. I'm actually really excited about it. I hope you will like your job! :)

Sandy, all my best that you will have good news with the ultrasound. I'm really sorry to hear about your sister's lack of support. :grouphug: I am glad that you have someone fighting with you on the pooch front.

Its actually be a very difficult summer for me. My dad was diagnosed with lung cancer at the beginning of July. I've been here with them for most of the last five weeks. I go back to work on Monday so my brothers will have to step in and help my mom get him to radiation. It really doesn't look good. We celebrated my parent's 44th wedding anniversary today. I have a feeling it will be their last. :guilty:

And yucky to the DHTs who aren't being so darling right now.

Suzanne...Sorry about the rough time and having too many kids! I wouldn't know what that's like. We seem to live in areas with no kids. There is one here, but I'm not so sure DS is ready for that one.

Legs...Congrats on the job!! Hope you get the $$$ you're looking for. :)

Deb...I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. :( Prayers for you and your family. But glad to hear you're excited about DBF looking for a home!! :teeth:

TB....{{hugs}} I'll keep your family in my prayers.

Legs congrats on the new job!
