So, I'm going to do mine here.
1) Pete, I understand you've had enough of running everything and that you need to let some things go. I get that. But, the podcast is BETTER when you're a part of it. I don't really care who's host (please, though, keep the shiny things away from Teresa when it's her turn), but the podcast is better when you're on it.
2) One thing with rotating hosts--there are times when no one takes control. When people aren't used to being the host, sometimes they aren't use to putting things back on track. The podcasts seem to have gotten a little more chaotic. I'm not saying that's always bad--I love the smarmy quips and jokes, but sometimes too many people are talking at once.
3) I like when one person is responsible for an aspect of the show. Example, Julie does the weather: she knows she's going to do it, she's ready for it, and she does a great job.
4) Points #2 and #3 are relatively minor. I still very much like the podcast and all the podcast team. My major concern is #1. I miss Pete being a regular on the podcasts. The most recent show I listened to was the 2/24. Pete had not been on in a while, but he was on this show for its entirety. It was great to hear his voice, his opinions, and his humor. I miss the rants. No matter how you slice it, it's not as good without Pete. This is nothing to do with the others. It's like the Seinfeld show. All the other cast members were great, but it ain't the same without Seinfeld.
Now what I'm going to finish on may appear to make light of a terrible situation. But, I'm not. While I don't post a ton, I've been around a lot of years, so please understand. Pete, when Bob left the show none of us had a say in it. We could voice no opinion one way or another. However, I can make a pitch to you. Stick around, and still be a regular on the show. You don't have to host, you just have to rant. That should give all of us what we need.
