Is there a website or a sizzix for dummies that I can read about it somewhere? It sounds like you all are loving it so I'm thinking maybe I need one too.

What I'm not understanding is how many machines are there? Is there just one but then several different dies that fit into it? I picked up something sizzix when I was last at Michael's but my DH saw a $250.00 price tag near it (not sure if that was even for the sizzix) and groaned so I put it back down.

I feel like I'm missing out on something so if you could point me in the area of a website or something I'd appreciate it, thanks!!

You will love sizzix...once you understand it, it's so easy!

There is a video, (which helped me when I first looked into it) on their website. Sizzix

The dies can be expensive but I also wait for Michael's 40% coupons and buy them one at a time, which helps a great deal. The alphabet sets are the really expensive dies, (probably the thing that you picked up!) but I just got my first one (Fun Serif) with a 50% off coupon and saved $125!!

Hi, I understand your confusion. Yes it can be pricey but don't let that scare you. I am probably the poorest scrapbooker in the world. I do manage to hit the sales and dh lets me splurge once and a while. I say it is cheeper the prozac. the mavhine you can get on sale for about 60.00 and the dies are $14, $11, and $10 the numbers are around 65 and the abc's are either $ 150 or $ 250 but then you use coupons. 40% and 50% the rreason to have it though is so you can match everything. You don't have to buy the same die over and over.I do love mune and I am so gald that I got it last year.and if you do get one I would say when you start buying the dies buy them in catagories like christmas, winter, school, the person and accessories. so you can enjoy it right from the start. After I got mine I could not decide what to buy and for about 3 months I owned a cloud and a leaf. Not too useful. so good luck and I hope you are swayed to buy one. Yopui will be so glad you did.

The small machines themselves are around $80. Dies are different prices depending on their size. If you have an A.C.Moore near you, all sizzix are 50% off this week!

I never knew I "needed" one either. :) Now I use it (especially for the alphabets) quite a bit. I ONLY buy dies when they are on sale or I have a coupon. Check it out!
