My DD (3) has severe dairy allergy and only drinks soy milk. Does the ship have soy milk on board that I can request for her at meals and room service or do I need to bring some? Renae

I know I have heard that they have it onboard. Tell them beforehand and they will make sure all her meals are to her needs. I am sure you will get a more knowledgeable answer but that is all I know.

Hi,

We cruised last December and of course had a wonderful time.

We are vegetarians and only use soymilk with cereal.
When we came in for breakfast I requested soy milk for my son's cereal it was promptly brought out to us.

Good luck and have a great time.

It's a great guide to eating veggie. They even have it broken down for kids. They go into such great detail on menu items, ingredients, pricing, etc. It covers DCL, WDW and the Greater Orlando area.

GOOD LUCK!

CRSNDSNY... what are the vegetarian selections at dinner like? I've looked at the menus and every dinner has a vegetarian offering, but do you have to ask your server about it, or do they automatically tell the table what the selection is?

Its good to know they serve soymilk on request too, I'll keep that in mind.

Yes, they have special foods on board.
However, you are supposed to fax DCL with a release from you Dr. This way there's enough on the ship for everyone.
My daughter needs rice milk.
That's what we did.

The selections at dinner are very good. There always seemed to be a vegetable based soup at every dinner, as well as 2-3 selections. There were times when I'd combine a couple of appetizers to make a dinner, too. I remember dishes like stuffed peppers, grilled vegetables, cous cous, etc. Everything was so tasty.

Actually, I called to verify the soymilk thing a few times each cruise, but was never told to fill out a form. I had no problem getting soymilk anywhere onboard. They made notations in our reservations for our dining servers about the vegetarian diet so they knew before we got there. Two good things about this: (1) We were always given more flexibility as far as menu choices if we didn't care what was on the menu; (2) We didn't have to sit there listening to our servers elaborate on the 'tenderness' of the veal special or intricately prepared sea bass.

Also, you can request a vegetarian burger at Pluto's doghouse. Our first cruise they had the burgers right there to prepare for us. Our last cruise they didn't have any on hand, but located them on the ship, prepared them and even happily served them to us down by Quiet Cove Pool. They are really accomodating.
