Thankfully the next day was pool day. I completely flaked our breakfast at Cape May... but we ate breakfast in the room and had lunch by the pool. Wonderful morning.... C&D were late again, but we didnt care. I love SAB.. I think I have said it somewhere in this post, but I was afraid of it with all the kids, but now I love it with all the kids. Now in a couple of years, when Madeline is older and discovers more than the Kiddie pool and the lazy river (which BTW when your towing your 3 YO and your 5 YO challenges you to a race around the lazy river it is anything but lazy... esp hung over.)
MNSSHP... It was odd to be the only ones in costume before we got to the parks. Lots of compliments on all our garb. I was happy to find out I can drive with wings.
C&D were late, I had their tickets, so we missed dinner at LTT. Thinking back I should have just gone to dinner with the girls alone and then met them back up front with their tickets. Ahhh well we survived. Girls were wonderful. I am very proud of them.
Insert a gripe here... During one of our pre LTT phonecalls, Cynthia and I realize my watch and her hotel room clock are both wrong. Instead of 330 like my watch said, it was really 4... We were pulling up to the TTC at the time, Cynthia said, when she found out her hotel clock said 5:20 (instead of 4)and I quote "well that is why our timing has been so off." Um... lady... if you were going by that clock you would have been early/on-time since it was set so far ahead. I didn't bust her on that little fact as she was so happy she found a justification for them being so late, I didn't have the heart to explain that she is just a mess up time delusional idiot.(did I say that outloud?)
Tina and I. C&D couldnt find us in a crowd???
C&D complained I walked too fast... of course she was in 3 inch heals and he was in up to the knee combat boots... I found my easy spirit sneakers the perfect footware for my Woodland fairy outfit and we covered a lot of ground at MNSSHP. We didn't score a lot of candy and never did get our picture taken, but we were all having too much fun riding the rides to think about such things.
After Madeline rode Splash Mountian for the 4th time (Abigail wasnt interested in riding it again, and this is the reason why I wanted to bring my friends... to go on rides with Madeline, while I kicked back with Abigail. I ran into Tina from our GG group and started chatting away. Her oldest wanted to ride Splash again, and my girls were nibbling on candy and playing with her girls.. Cynthia and Derek went to have a smoke... well over 20 minutes later, Tina is asking me where C&D went, since they must have had a smoke by now... I shrug, walk over to the smoking area and back to Tina... no signs of them anywhere... the girls and I are stopped at the bridge in front of SM while the parade goes by... I call my friends and they are over by LTT, and they turn around to meet us at the bridge. Another 10 minutes goes by, parade is over, the girls are anxious to ride more rides.. Cynthia and Derek are no where to be seen. I call again and get yelled at for not waiting for them after their smoke in the first place. I told her I did wait, well over 20 minutes and they never showed up. Tina confirms this with them and Cynthia is once again miffed. It was only 5 minutes she said.... yeah... right.... I opt to just leave them... I cant ask the girls to wait anymore because of them. We ride PC, JC, skip Aladin and head back over to buzz. Ride Buzz, TTA, and Indy cars before heading out.
I was told by 2 different CM's that I could buy MNSSHP pins at the Expo.. so on the way out around 1130 I popped in there. We were all done. I was feeling the effects of last night, and the girls we so strung out on candy it wasnt funny. Although once again, my sweet ones were wonderful. Just done. Ya know?? Parents know. LOL Anyway I come to find out, after waiting 10 minutes in line, that I can only buy pins from the past MNSSHP's and NOT that evenings (consider this a beg if you have an extra Oct 20th pin BTW) so I bought 3 or 4 others, not even sure which ones, and we left. I thought about doubling back to the Emporium to buy that nights pin, but as I said, the girls were done and still acting nice, I didn't want to push it...
THis was the only night I wish I had brought a stroller for the girls. We were parked too close for the tram (just under the bridge along the monorail track) and it seemed 100 times longer at midnight... All in all a great evening despite the 12 other inexplicable things my 'friends' did that I didn't post about... lol.
