Okay, guys, my CROCS gave me blisters!!!

OMG! I cannot believe this post got ressurected after all this time. I posted it in 2005! :lmao:

I now own like 10-12 pairs of CROCS. I no longer get blisters. Breaking in a near pair might leave me with a hot spot, but now I know and don't let it get all the way to blister. I don't wear socks with crocs, unless it's cold and I'm wearing jeans. No more problems! Must just be the shape of my feet, that they are so close to the tops of the shoes. My DH's fit on him WAY bigger, but if I put on a bigger croc they fall off. Guess it's just some of us have weird feet.

I LOVE my CROCS. I tell everyone I see how wonderful they are! I wore my wedge heels(3in) on Sunday and we had to make a couple stops on the way home(mall and walmart) by the time we got home I was limping from my heels! Walking without shoes was so painful still. I put on my crocs and didn't feel a thing! :cheer2:

My DH and boys all have them. My dad, brother and brother in law got some and my DM borrowed a pair and has yet to return them. :rotfl:

MP, I was very confused when I saw this thread, because I thought you were the Crocs queen! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Good to see that I'm not crazy.

I never tried them because they are the ugliest things in the world. I also hate when people wear them and they dont match their outfits.... UGH

I thought the same thing until I was given a pair. They are the most comfortable shoes ever! I haven't worn them to WDW yet, but I plan too.

I do try to match them to my outfits though (I have 7 pairs, so it makes it a little easier). I wear socks with mine all the time too. If I look like a dork I don't care. :)

old threads never die:rotfl:

I'm blessed with ortho problems from many years of wearing spike heels;) ;i've got close to 10 pair:rolleyes1 ; have worn off the tread on several.

Note that i do wear no-show socks @ WDW, etc. to avoid the dreaded sweaty feet issue - eww.

Last year @ WDW, wore a new pr i hadn't 'broken-in'; had only wore once or twice before trip...developed the worst blister on my rock hard soles; so glad I brought moleskin/band-aids.:confused3

Just got the new mickey mouse ones, plan on wearing them for a bit before their maiden voyage. Hope they haven't tinkered with the design of the foot bed. IMO, think the culprit is foot slipping/flopping around in the shoe that does the damage.

Became a CROC lover, and now I am back to "only wear them for a few hours" because they make my KNESS hurt!:confused3 When I wear them, my feet feel OK, but my knees start to ache, due to the fact they are in a "different position" than when I wear my New Balance! So, I wear them for a few hours but not ALL day!

That is because they are not very good for your feet, even. They offer no arch support, and are bad for our legs, back and such. rny rnorn works at a cornfort shoe store.:thumbsup2

No offense, but do you have any proof other than what your mom says?

I have all kinds of foot problems and I am a diabetic so I have to be careful. I go to the podiatrist every 3 months. A couple of years ago when I wore my crocs there, he had never seen them before. He talked to me about them, looked them over very carefully and said he was going to add them to the list of shoes he recommended. Some on his list are Brooks, Sacony, SAS, Ecco and I don't remember what else.

I will say that not too long after wearing them I developed achilles tendonitis in my right foot. Went thru physical therapy, etc. and 1 1/2 years later I still have it. The orthopedic doctor I saw recommended that I wear something with a higher heel and no strap in back. Of course that aggravates my hammer toes and other problems. Don't know if Crocs had anything to do with my achilles tendonitis or coincidence.

Isn't it funny how some people seem to be put off by people wearing CROCS? What gives? Why would anyone care what kind of shoe others wore? :rotfl:

People always ask me if they make your feet sweaty. I don't know if THEY make your feet sweaty. My feet sweat in flip flops. It's Florida for heavens sake! But no matter how sweaty your feet get, they never stink! My baby has STINKY feet. They smell hours after a bath! But the CROCS don't make it worse like other shoes.

I can't wait to see how (if at all) they help me with my next pregnancy. Last time I had horrible groin pain and back pain.
