Tell me about crowds the full week before the week of Thanksgiving and the week after. Which is better or less crowded?

We weren't there the full week of the week before Thanksgiving, but the Thursday, Friday and Saturday were very NOT crowded. We didn't use any Fast Passes (there were few Fast Pass machines in use). We never waited more than 15 minutes for anything (and the 15 minutes was for Mickeys Philharmagic, and that was because we walked up just after they started a show). Finding a place to sit and have lunch at any counter service restaurant was easy. I would highly recommend this time if you are able.

We arrived the Friday after Thanksgiving and went to Epcot that day. It wasn't too bad but we didn't try to get on any of the rides. We never go to the MK on the Weekend. So we did MGM, AK, Epcot etc. The popular rides are busy - Soarin, Test Track, Everest. We went to the parks during the Extra Magic hours to use that time wisely. Again the popular rides are busy but for those we did a fast pass during the day.

I found this year less busy that in the past, who knows what next year will bring.

Until the day before Thanksgiving,there were no crowds. In fact,next year I'm planning another trip from the Friday before Thanksgiving until the day before-short and sweet!

My in-laws generally go the week before Thanksgiving and say the parks are pretty empty. Many people have wised up to the week or two after Thanksgiving, so they are getting a bit more crowded.
We just got back and really only had trouble with the crowds on the weekends, but we arrive at the parks at openings and leave around 1-2pm, so not a problem.

I looked online and the full week before the week of Thanksgiving for next year is booked for the room at the CR that we would want. All they have available at the CR is suites. Does that mean it would be crowded? There are rooms elsewhere but we really want a MK view at the CR.
