Are there any attractions that our 5 & 6 year olds meet the height requirements on that you think might be too scary so we should avoid at IOA and US? They have ridden ToT, BTMRR, and SplMnt with no problems at age 4 and 5.
Thanks!

Thanks!

If they survived TOT, they should be able to handle most of the attractions at US and IOA. But here are some thoughts on the issue:

1. Mummy combines special effects with a rollercoaster. Kind of like TOT and BTMRR combined.

2. Jaws can be scary to a small kid. My 5 year old loved it. But he loves all types of scary movies; the Jurassic Park films are among his favorites. I know, I'm a bad parent, but I just wanted to give you a frame of reference.

3. Twister, BTTF and Terminator are tame, but are in dark theaters and very, very loud.

4. The Horror Make Show, from what I hear, is not that scary for kids. Though I suspect it is pretty gory.

5. Posiedon's Fury is dark and loud, but my four year loved it (she was way too short for most of the rides).

6. Pteradon (sp?) Flyers may present a fear of heights issue. Basically you glide, pretty slowly, but at heights of I think as high as 40 feet.

7. Jurassic Park can be scary, but the drop is not much worse that Splash Mt.'s

Hope this helps.

Last year my kids were 6 and 9 when we went. They both didn't like the dark of Poseidens fury or the loud noises, and the same for twister. We didn't even try the Earthquake because of this. My oldest loved the Mummy, the younger could take or leave it, but I think she was still scared from the Twister ride so she really didn't enjoy it. Other than that, I think the only other cause for concern may be the T-rex at the end of the Jurassic Park ride. That caught my youngest off guard too.
