Same here Carrie!! :)

This was the summer I:
Worked 40 hours a week
and it is also my last summer in high school as this time next year I will be getting ready to go to college.

This was the summer I:

...watched my mom go through chemo :(...

...found a nodule in my neck and will have it removed to see if cancer :(...

...noticed my parents are getting older; dad's hair is silver (still handsome ;) ), few more lines in their faces, little slower. :(

...thanks to monsters in this world, had to watched my children more closely :(

...sat at the seashore and realized just how little we are in the this great, big, wide world. It made me finally realized life is much too short and I have to make the most of it. Just can't "settle" for things in life, must do things to make this life the best I can. We only have one chance here....

This was the summer that...
I realized that our current area was not the place for me. It was so much better than the town before that this reality was blurred for a bit but it's all in better focus now. I've moved a lot but I don't intend to give up searching. :D

This was also the summer that...
we finally travelled to the west and loved it. I can't wait to go back! :teeth:

This was the summer of my discontent........no, not really but I couldn't resist;)

This was the summer we FINALLY put an addition on our home that we've talked about for almost 10 years.....

The summer I took a solo trip to Atlanta to visit my best friend.........

The summer I say goodbye to my dd's childhood as I know it as she begins high school in a few short days:(

Fell in love again with my DH

Am beginning to accept me for me and not feel a need to have everyone like me (funny how those things work....)

I don't want to end!!!!!!!!

This is the Summer that we realized that someone else could be just as important to my hubby and I as we are to each other. Aditionally, we learned that this same little person now has us both firmly wrapped around her tiny little finger.

Kathy

learned that I could live without my dog

developed a new appreciation for Greek Mythology and throat lozenges

learned that I could function on 2 1/2 hours sleep

:):):)

This is the summer I went to my very first DIS Meet and it was everything I expected it to be plus some!!!:D :bounce:

This is the summer I finally got the job I've been dreaming about for the past year! :)

realized how much I really do love my husband and son

(we just came home from a very nice mini-vaca)

This is the summer I gave birth to my son and learned how to quickly change a diaper without getting squirted. :)

This was the summer....

...that I finally got rid of the horrible mini-van and got my little SUV. Yippee!!

...that I decided I do need to take some risks and make some new friends.

...that I joined a gym and resolved, along with DH, to get in shape and be healthy!

...that I realized how quickly time passes, how precious our time on Earth is, and how much time I've spent wishing it away.

:)
