I know this is Labor Day weekend but we are going to the parks Thur/Fri...leaving on Saturday.

and best of all..we got AP rates for the GCH...awesome !!

so tell me it won't be that bad crowd wise....

Thursday won't be too bad but Friday will be more crowded. You'll see another increase in crowds once the afternoon / evening hits. i.e. teens out of school,adults off work, and weekend travellers.
Pay attention to schedules ahead of time as the fireworks and Fantasmic may no longer be on summer schedule at that point.

That is the same time we will be there; Mon-Fri of that week, leaving late Friday afternoon for the airport. During the week there will be fireworks at 9:25, one Fantasmic at 9:00, and no Electrical Parade. Friday should have the EP and a second Fantasmic. Crowds are going to be huge all summer, but I am anticipating slightly lower crowds by then (please, please, please), picking up again late Friday through Monday for the holiday.

I figured we would go on Thurs and be able to do all the things we wanted to do, then Friday would be more crowded and we could finish up.

My DD goes back to school on Thursday, Sept 1st and I know quite a few other schools here in Nor Cal that go back that last week of August, so I think it will certainly be less crowded then the end of July when we go! I'm glad you got the AP rate to boot!!

Whew! I'm so glad someone asked that because I was just about to ask! DH and I are planning to go Labor Day weekend (only because he can't tap into his PTO for a weekday getaway but oh well) and it is our 1 year wedding anniversary. We are AP holders, but I felt overly eager to book knowing that AP rates might not even be out for that weekend. Please do share the rate for GCH that you got. I'd love to see what they are offering since we have never stayed there before. TIA!

It'll be a little crowded on the weekend (thats normal) otherwise your dates are perfect, especially since most schools are starting that week, my daughter starts kindergarten on August 31st, so we are going the 30th.

You'll be there plenty of days to experience everything and have a magical time.

I got quoted $199 for GCH DD view and $139 for DLH pool view.
I don't know any details about the dates available...I only asked about our dates.

I tried to call yesterday and the best they had at DLH was 234.00. I'm not sure why it changed so quickly, but out group opted for a two-bedroom suite instead for Aug. 31-4

I just changed my ressie at DLH to get AP rates for the week of Aug 28th - $119 Sun-Mon, $139 Tue-Thur for standard view.
