Okay, changing ressies - advice

This is what I think I'm going to do. Any input is greatly appreciated as we have been to none of these. My kids don't care about mickey, etc., We also have a car.

1) Changing a 11:20 am Chef Mickey reservation to a 12:30 pm Trail's End Buffet?? Thought being, have heard it's not the greatest foodwise, and my kid's can only handle 1 character meal I believe, which we are getting at CP another day.

2) Changing a 5:05 pm Whispering Canyon reservation to a lunch time Captain's Grill at the Yacht Club on the day we are going to Epcot. Seems convenient to go walk over and relax over there for a little while and the menu looks yummy.

We really enjoyed our breakfast at Chef Mickey's. I've booked it again this year.

What park will you be going to that day?

I haven't been to Trail's End, so I can't compare.

It will make your day much easier to dine closer to EPCOT unless you are lodging at WL & planning to go back for a swim break.

Have not eaten at Trails End, however, I can't imagine giving up a Chef Mickey bfast to go there - JMO - some people don't care for CM's but our family loves it - a must do every trip. Are you sure your kids don't care about the characters because they are super fun over at CM's (noisy too)

I would keep Chef Mickeys for sure. Not only is it easy access with the monorail but it is a good way to get pictures with Mickey's gang and not have to wait in line to do it.

I can also tell you that my older kids (10, 12) did NOT like Whispering Canyon at all. They thought it was way hokey.

We ate a Trail End's 2 years ago and really enjoyed it, we went for lunch, well it was right after breakfast ended so we had a little of each and it was empty, it was a nice change and nice to look around. We have decided not to do CM any more, the food isn't that great, the service had been horrible our last few times, and the characters are hit or miss. Last year they skipped past us several times because of the rude large family jumping in every time they came around. I complained but it didn't help. Just not worth it for us. The breakfast may be good but it appears you have a lunch ADR when they open up the lunch hours for free dining time. I would have no problems changing that ADR.

We haven't been to WC in a few years but are trying it this year for somethng different, ejoyed it a few years back. However we do really like Captains Grill, another one that was never crowded when we went, plus it is an easy walk through the International Gateway and you can stroll around the boardwalk afterwards. Enjoy I think your plans look great plus you have a car so no hassle with transportation.
