We're here now, definitely not around. There were gnats at Fantasmic tonights, mosquitoes at Winter Summerland mini golf last nite, no lovebugs yet though! May and Sept..

I saw a few at the pool at SSR Saturday. Not many but there were some... it's coming LOL!

We saw Herbie, the most famous Love Bug, parked at the Wilderness Lodge (June of last year).

His owner was staying at the resort for the weekend, and was always talking with folks who were gathered around his car.

This guy -- wish I could have talked to him -- has an immaculate Herbie VW. Even has the dash signed by a (then) child actor from one of the movies. The car was apparently used in filming...

I know, I know...has nothing to do with "love bugs", but I couldn't resist!

No - coming down May 3-10 - I really hate those love bugs.

oh well I have to only deal with them for a week - you folks who live in Orlando have the entire month (at Least) to deal with the darn bugs. I don't know how you do it.

Why are the love bugs there May and September??? What do they do during the summer? I am really confused by these bugs. Does it start early September or mid or what? We will be there until September 7 and I am dreading these bugs!

were looking for but, I saw some love bugs in Port Aransas, Texas this past weekend! I was shocked to see them and not be in Florida when I did! Maybe they're lost this year . I also saw my first firefly of summer tonight!!! Summer is almost here!!

they mate during May and Sept. the rest of the time don't know where they are or even car.

yea they will be there in Sept too.

a few years ago they were the worst in years - last year not so bad - so this year - who knows.

Only saw one this weekend personally, but noticed a couple of my neighbors cars had their front ends covered yesterday morning. They definitely are swarming somewhere in SW Orlando area.

These bugs are a pain. Sometimes it's even hard to sit down. I've seen them cover up and entire windshield of a car. I hope they are gone by the time I get there.

We've been here since Wednesday. In that time, I've probably only seen maybe a handful.

I've been down here in September before for the past 2 years and saw tons of them.

This is nothing right now, really only like 5 or 6 total in the past 6 days.

I can deal with them walking around but I HATE them on my car. For those of you who deal with this twice a year-How do you get them off your car???
