So, I heard a "rumor" that Universal's online prices will be going up with the at gate prices, sometime in the next day or two so I am thinking I am going to grab our tickets b4 since we are also going to have the Express price eventually added on top of it. (We'll buy those later since we don't go until December)
Soooo, advice?

Day: Wednesday December 3rd.
1 day park to park
Offsite
We will have Express, I have decided against Unlimited Express since we have DS2 and we will be taking advantage of RS. (So the older kids can ride rides 2x as it is)
IOA
Our must dos:
Hulk (RS time added)
Dragons (RS time added)
Dr Doom (for DH and older two, no RS)
Spiderman (too intense you think for a 2 1/2 yr old? He may be 40 inches...)

maybes
Jurassic

end of day if crowds are light:
HP

** little kids rides if time

Universal
Must dos
Mummy (RS time added)
Transformers (Too intense for toddler? IF yes, then RS added)
Simpsons

maybes
Hollywood Riptide (No RS if we do)
Minions

end of day if crowds are light:
HP (I am guessing one or the other if it is doable)

**Little kids rides if we have time.

I read on another site that HP can sometimes be less crowded at the end of the day, so that is why I said maybe at the end of the day for HP. Not a must do, would like to, but I am afraid it'll be too crazy.

I am hoping for one day for all this since we are squeezing this in between 4 days at WDW.
We could possibly add a 1/2 day if you think we would need it. We are rope droppers who like to leave the parks after lunch, this day is a rope drop to close day, so the following day is a rest day as it stands, since we are trying to accomplish so much in 1 day... :)

Anyone have any advice, tips, anything, it would be greatly appreciated. We've done Universal, but it was a lonngggg time ago. :)

You're going to want to do the Harry Potter rides at both parks and the Hogwarts Express that takes you between the two parks.

That's a pretty full day but in early December it is doable. In Christmas week, I'm not too sure.

I want to draw this out and ask the experts if that is indeed allowed with Universal rider switch?

I wouldn't take a teensy kidlet on Spidey or Transformers (nearly the same ride as each other). But then in our family we have one adult who is much bigger, and the shared lap bar doesn't come near the other adult or our 9 year old...so that colors my view of the restraint.

But I really see nothing in it that a little kid would like. LOUD, things coming at you if you're wearing your 3D glasses, blurry if you're not wearing the glasses, did I mention LOUD...and you're being tossed around like spaghetti.

Yup, rider swap allows the kids to ride again with the new parent.

Thank you for the input. Yes, I know, especially once we are in Orlando starting our theme park filled vacation, we are going to want to see/do HP stuff. I am going to stay posted on here to see how the crowds are as it gets closer to December. DO you think at the end of the day is a better option? I'm afraid, since we do not have the early entry, that by the time we get over there at 9am, it'll be a zoo.

AS for the rides with toddler, I assumed too much for him. I know back in the day, my now DS10 would take his 3d glasses off at the 3d stuff at WDW, haha, too intense things coming at him!

We'll plan RS for those two rides as well.

Thanks again, I am guessing we will stick to the one day and do what we can. QUESTION: IF we get there, and feel we may need to come back the next day, can we add a day to our tix, or by then is it too late and we'd have to buy a whole new day ticket?

You can upgrade.

When in December are you going? That will make all the difference.

Right now we have Wednesday December 3rd planned for Universal/IOA. If we need to add a day we'd go Thursday as that is our only "day off". Gonna need a vacation after our vacation. :)

I checked UCT and they have both parks green with a crowd level of 3 for Wed, and Orlando Insider has it yellow with "SLOW". (Just realized both these sites had crowd calenders for Universal these past few days, nice...)
Thursday changes to yellow with UCT and Universal is red...

Thank you again, you are always so quick to help!!

Parks are dead in early December.

Thank you for all your help, much appreciated!

Now to grab all our tickets before the price increase hits online. Not a huge savings, haha, but any savings helps me feel better about the final tab! :)
