Whispering Canyon?we are a party of 9 and 1 family is at pop and another at POR,we have all our meals planned but now I am wondering if I should try and add this in when we get there,we wont have a car so is it worth shlepping over to WL for this, kids are 10,11,13,16,15...I saw the pictures of the food and it looks really neat...would you switch a free dinner to there from Coral reef???or do both...help :sad2:

We love WC with the kids. It does get some various reviews though. We even had one occasion where one skillet of food was great while the other seemed just average.
I think your kid's age range is perfect for this restaraunt. We took our 4 year old nephews who loved it. (but would not ask for ketchup ;) )

I was just doing my sons scrapbook form our trip in April. I put his certificate in it along with the pledge the kids had to take! It is a blast! I did notice there were several tables with large parties and they were taken care of easily. DS is 10 going on 50! So, it was great to see him get up, with encouragement from our waitress who was great! He loved it though you do know heaven forbid he admitted it!

Here's how I knew I picked right, when I pulkled out the pic's he was laughing so loud and giggling about his pledge! I did good! He also loved Coral Reef! OUr waiter had a terrible time remebering my Dh's order it was a mess and my son does not like waiting! At Coral Reef , we did have a bit of a wait for our meals. He loved the tank and I made ADR's I believe around 5:30 so the divers would be there when we ate. If you fo to Coral Reef, I suggest checking the time on the divers all the kids loved it and evidently it is the only time the sea turtle comes out. The sea turtle is big and my son was over the moon.

Either one is a good pick of you can I would pick both I was glad I did, tow entirely different meals and atmosphere but both were good.

Happy Planning and have a great trip!

I would definetly do it. We were there in June we had a lot of people 23 to be exact so there was no way we could all stay together so the only meal we planned was WCC for lunch with all of us. Boy we had so much fun the servers were really on their A-game lots of antics and lots of laughs . The ages ran from 3 to 75 but all agreed it was great and everyone liked their food even the one vegetarian ( we were nervous about her). We all agreed to meet there some came from the magic kingdom and some from OKW. But we ended up on the same boat going over weird huh. We all stayed after and rented boats the kids said it was their best day.

We were there last week and came back disappointed. On our last trip to WDW, we stayed at WL so ate there twice and loved both the food and antics. The kids and DH requested a return to that restaurant with the ketchup thing, so I made ADRs this time.

I was disappointed in both quality and atmosphere this time around. Maybe part of it was because we were staying at the Polynesian on this trip and so had to make a special trip on the boat over there (not really that hard when you're at MK anyway, which is what we were), or maybe it was just an off night. Our server was very sweet but not that much was going on. We were seated right in the main dining room in the middle actually. Ketchup was called for as on the past, and the kids had a pony race (although my boys decided they were too old for it), and the servers all clomp their trays on the floor, but those things alone were not worth the time and effort to me.

Maybe if I hadn't been there before, I wouldn't have cared so much, but it was just mediocre really. That said, a large group could have fun here although if I had to do a "fun" silly atmosphere meal with a large group, I'd prefer 'Ohana.

Thanks everyone,I called and the only time I could get was a 2:30 sitting for 9 so it looks like we are doing lunch there on our first day in,we will check in bright and early{leave our luggage}at our resorts and head to MK for a few hours to start and then go to Wl for lunch,I will keep my other reservation at coral reef and just play it by ear...
