Ok -- Which new TDS pins did you buy?

Patting myself on the back, I told DH I ONLY bought five! He asked what other ones they have. Uhh Ooohhh... If they had a Toy Story theme, he would have been running down to TDS pronto!

I bought one of each, but only plan on collecting the Calendar series and the holidays. The others I will use for traders.

I had no idea these were coming out, so it was a nice surprise to see so many on the rack! I bought:
Pooh New Year 2002
Mickey new Year 2002
Studio Water Tower
Goofy's 70th Anniversary

I guess I am so out of the pin loop. I need to pay more attention! New Year's resolution: visit the Collector's Board more often!

I just happened to be in TDS after work and saw the pins. The CM told me they rec'd notice today to sell them.

I bought all of them plus a few to trade. Our store only had the first eight out. And, a few of my pin friends are not close to the store so I bought the extras. But, I think I am only going to collect the Calendar and the Holidays...... And, maybe the poster pins........ but not all of them........ really!

And, when I was there, they just put more binders out at 50% off. I was so excited that I bought many more than I needed. But, when will I get a deal like that again. so now I have someplace to store all my pins, past, future and present!

Our store had that first 8 pins out this morning, plenty there. We got

Goofy 70 Ann.

We will probably get the calendar pins, holiday and the poster pins of movies we like, we were disapointed with the goofy movie poster pin-after the nice way the other pins were made we thought this one was kind of plain. Does anyone know if the pooh birthstone will be the same pin just a different stone each month? I am still hoping for pictures of the upcomming pins like were released for the 100 years pins.

Stopped by my store today and they confirmed that they have received the pins but said "They know how to read a memo" and will not be putting them out for sale until Saturday. I think I'm going to go with the Commemorative series. That's really all that grabs my interest at the moment. But who knows?

My Disney Store had them in, but I decided to buy just the Studio Water Tower. I'll save my $$ for pins at the parks and DIS meets!

Bought one of each. Was told there are 7 more coming in before Jan 5. Will I be at my TDS on the 5th. You are darn right I will.

Due to time sensitivity of the New Years pins, the first week's pins slated for release on January 5th could be put out on-stage for sale when they were received. From then on pins will be released every two weeks from January 5th, 2002 - December 14, 2002.

At this time there is to be absolutely NO sharing of pin information with Guests as Disney wants these pins to be a surprise when they come out.

6-8 pins will be released each Saturday morning as indicated above, and these pins will retail for $5 or $6.

Pins will be limited to 2 per guest, per style for the first day of release.

No phone orders, charge sends or holds on the first day of release.

Each store will receive an average of only 24 pins per style.

I bought the Pooh & Mickey New Years, Atlantis, and the 2 Goofy pins.

But I am annoyed. The Atlantis pin is the same type as the poster pins in the YoD set, so why are they now $6! And the other pins are $5, and I questioned the quality at $4.

So besides the Atlantis & Mickey New Year, I don't know how many I am actually going to keep.

Just thought you all missed seeing our posts to each other that I had to let you all know.


While I am here in CT freezing and spending the New Year home, the rest of the CT Caballaros.....and Dom are in sunny Florida. Well, it is raining and in the 60's but they are in FL.
But I did pick up the TDS pins for Leslie and I.
Leslie is only getting the Holiday pins, and I talked her into the Atlantis because it is a poster pin and she has the others from the 100 years set.

I am also upset that the Poster was $6 and the other posters were $4. But I am glad they are releasing pins at TDS because I am trying to cut back my spending on pins this year and those $12.50 and $15.50 pins at the parks are just too much. At least I can feed my habit and still have some money for food.
