So after all my number crunching (yes I am driving myself nuts  ) I am asking you guys what you would do. IF AP rates are the same in October as current ones, DH and I can do POFQ or Coronado Springs with Annual Passes for $120 less a night than the Polynesian Garden View Concierge with Ultimate Park Hoppers. Ugg... We would love to try the Poly but we are going to WDW next year for sure so the AP's are a big savings. Of course water parks and Disney Quest are included on the UPH's and we can buy AP's for next year. If we do Poly without concierge it would be about $62 more a night than the moderates with AP's. What would you do? Thanks!

My wife and I had the same dilema, we decided to buy APs this year and with all the extra savings from the passes and the rates we get on rooms we figure we can go to disney more than once a year.

Now are you asking do you take the rates now and go to Poly and not take a trip next year? Or are you asking do you buy AP passes to get the rates and just shell out cash for the water parks and Disney Quest? Personally I would love to stay at the poly, but at the sametime I would rather go to disney twice.

Its a tough decision, chances are good codes will come in the offseason and you can go to the poly then.

Did you price out the Poly (with concierge and without) using the APs instead of UPH. You really should compare apples to apples.

Of course, the Poly will be more expensive than POFQ.

The first question is: How much is concierge worth to you? As I understand it, the biggest advantage are the snacks and food in the lounge. Will you be taking advantage of this in order to get your money's worth? Do you really need it or are you happy with grabbing some coffee and muffins for breakfast and eating lunch in a park? If you are not getting enough out of concierge, skip it.

The next question is: How much is the deluxe resort worth to you and can you afford it? POFQ and CSR are great resorts. But the Poly is a deluxe resort. This means bigger rooms (and at the Poly they are significantly bigger than the moderates), interior corridors, and great views. The Poly has great transportation and is close to the MK. You can view Wishes from the beach. The EWP is held every night. The beach is quiet and romantic. The Neverland Club has activities for kids if the parents want a night out alone.

Only you can decide if this is worth the extra money and if you can afford it. My opinion (FWIW)--stay at Poly (without concierge) if it's in your budget. If it breaks the bank, stay at POFQ where you'll have a wonderful time.

I'd rather stay at a mod and get multiple trips than stay at a deluxe and get one, but that's just me. We spend very little time at the resort...just a couple of hours a day. If you are someone who spends more time relaxing while on vacation, go for the deluxe.

We buy AP's every other year or so, and it's amazing how they burn a hole in your pocket. It's VERY easy to justify another trip to WDW when you have the passes out of the way and you can get a great resort discount. Keep that in mind. :)
