I'm thinking we will go at the end of June 2010. I'm totally new to all of this so anyone care to point me in the right direction? I'm trying to make this a surprise for my kiddos! LOL I know~good luck right?

Glad to be here!

Welcome! My best suggestion is if you have a question - ask it! On here you will find plenty of people who can answer you and perhaps even give you ideas you would never have dreamed up yourself! Enjoy your time here and of course, have a fabulous trip!

first of all,
the best Disney thing i ever did was suprise my kids with disney,
well worth it.

second best thing is disboards.
tons of great info here.

thats why you have to ask something, anything
you will get more info than you are looking for.

read up and plan
planning is the best thing you can do
Have a plan but dont feel obligated to stick to it.

I don't know when they are officially announced probably sometime in mid summer, but generally its mid November till 1st few days of January. This year it is November 10, 2009 -January 4, 2010.

Hope that helps and welcome!

Welcome to the Dis Board

I am also planning our first trip to both disneyland and WDW the kids know we are going to USA but i am not sure if they know we are going to Disneyland.

This board is fanastic for answering questions so if you have any ask away

For anyone new to WDW, I always advise to get your hands on a guidebook. I recommend the "Unofficial Guide" but there are plenty of other good ones. It's well worth the $15 investment.

The DIS is great, there is a ton of info to be gotten between here and WDWINFO dot com, but on the DIS, you get opinions more than facts. The guidebooks really give you facts (with some opinions too). For instance, a lot of newbies ask "How many days in each park?" Well, that is a completely subjective question that can be answered hundreds of different ways.

Once you read the guidebooks, then you can answer those broader questions yourself, and get specific information here.

Just my opinion!

Oh, and Welcome!:cheer2::yay::banana::cool1:
