I have Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 installed on my computer. It has an option to make a Data DVD but I am unsure if that is what I need to backup pictures we have on the hard drive. I was trying to avoid buying a new program... any suggestions would be great!

Just start Roxio, select data DVD and drag and drop the folders into the Roxio window when it says the DVD is full click burn.

Thanks everyone! I guess this will be my weekend project to clean out unwanted pics and burn the rest!

Burn two copies before you delete anything...

There's an option somewhere (I think under the File drop-down, then Properties or similar) to tell it to verify the disc after burning it. Turn that on to make sure that your disc is 100% error-free.

Well I think I may be out of luck? I attempted to make a DVD and it states it cant find any supported dvd-recorders on my system when I hit the record button. Weird thing is I can see the name of the new dvd drive listed at the bottom of the EasyCd Creator screen I am working in so I was assuming it was a supported drive, maybe not?
