OK to park @ resorts & monorail to MK?

I remember visiting a MK resort for a meal and being able to park in the hotel parking lot even though I was not a guest of that resort . We weren't going to to MK that day, but it made me think that maybe I could park at the Contemporary or GF next time and hop the monorail to MK. Has anyone done this before? Does it help beat the crowds at TTC in the morning?

Thanks!

Even with a meal at one of the monorail resorts you are only given a 3 hour parking pass. It is not alright to park at the monorail hotels to bypass paying for parking/to get to the park faster. Parking at monorail resorts is a privelege to those paying for the experience.

Sorry but the answer is NOThere is even a sign that says "we are sorry but are are not able to accomodate parking for Magic Kingdom.

Think about it, it it were OK everyone would do it because everyone is looking for a "beat the crowds at TTC in the morning" solution.

Security has vans that travel up and down the rows every hour to check for parking permits issued to overnight guests and to insure that no 3-hour priviledges have expired.

If you are trying to beat the $6.00 just bite the bullet and pay it and if you are trying to beat the crowd, the only way to do that legitimately is to pay the price of a room for the days you want to use the parking lot.

I agree with your replies. I guess what I was really looking for is (and worded it incorrectly) was how I could get to Cinderella's Royal Table Breakfast if I get an early PS on a non early-entry day? I just remember sitting at the TTC and not being able to get to the MK admission gate until after 9am.

Wasn't trying to be cheap about parking or get towed, but I think your replies cleared that up!

: ' )

Thanks!

You should post that question in the transportation board and there's a Disney Bus driver there 'Chip and Dale Express' I believe, and he will be able to tell you the best way to MK for an early PS.

I believe they have a special breakfast bus for early morning PS.

The monorail resort parking lots are not meant for anyone except guests staying there and those visiting to eat or shop for a maximum of 3 hours.

I stayed at the CR 2 years ago and could never find a spot for my car. One night I actually saw some people park, put their santa hats on and walk over to MK for the Mickey Christmas party. I was SO angry.

You can if you pay for Valet Parking. I think it's $8.00 (plus tip, of course).

This is an interesting question. I do believe that beattyfamily is correct about their being a special bus for breakfast, but what if you are staying offsite. Monorails and ferries to the park don't start early, I don't think. The only way to get to MK would be to walk over from Contemp or get a Disney bus from some other location.

I'm NOT promoting parking at Contemp if you are not a guest there. I'm just curious what an offsite guest is supposed to do.

I believe the monorail does run before park opening specifically for guests that have early PSs at the MK. It is only for those with PSs at that park.

According to info I received, get to TCC and take resort monorail for early character breakfast on non-EE day. Don't know if this is right, but I intend to try it next week!!!

We have taken a bus from WL to the TTC at 8am and then took the TTC monorail over to the MK for our 9am PS. The buses usually start running an hour before the park opens if you are staying on Disney property.

If you are not staying on property you can park at TTC and then take the monorail over prior to the park opening. When we bused to the TTC it was around 8:15 and the monorail was already running. But, I do remember being told the ferry didn't start running until 8:45.

The resort (local) monorail starts running earlier than the ferry but often you have to show proof of having a PS or other early engagement before you can board early at the TTC.

The express monorail to the MK starts running around the same time as the ferry does, typically about 20 minutes before the park opens for day guests.

Last year we stayed at OKW and had an early character breakfast before park opening at MK. I did not want to chance the character bus, so we drove. We pulled in to MK parking lot before 8:00 am and had front row parking! Then just had a short wait to catch the Resort Monorail to head to the MK. They have cm's to help guide and check your name off of a ps list for the restaurants. The best part was entering Main St. with hardly another soul around! We very leisurely strolled down Main St. and took lots of video and pics. We're doing the same thing this year! CRT at 8:20 on 10/28! :)

If you are already at the TTC and not sure if you can get the monorail from there... its a 5 minute walk to the Poly from the TTC. From there you can get monorail/boat/bus.
