Ok to cheat on age for excursion?

Hello, my daughter will be a couple months shy of 5 when we cruise this spring and I'd really like to do one of the 5+ excursions. My husband and I will both be with her and she is the only child.
She is very tall and could easily pass for 5 already.
Will Disney allow me to book this excursion when the time opens to book or will the software automatically put the nix on me?
If they do allow me to book it will anyone be checking to be sure my daughter is actually 5 when it's time for the actual excursion?

In my experience, you cannot even book the excursion if under the age requirement. Since the ages are included on the reservation, there is no way around it with Disney. You may be able to find the tour through a private excursion company. Many times their age requirement is younger than Disney's and the cost is lower.

Nope, the computer knows the age and won't let you book the excursion with the child. No way around it. As the previous poster noted, you can sometimes book the same excursion directly with a tour operator for less money and without DCL's age restrictions.

Thank you both for taking time to answer! There is another dolphin encounter type thing that is 3+ so we'll just try to do that one instead

PPs are correct. DCL won't even allow you to book this for your DD since they have her age in their computers. I would recommend checking to book the excursion on your own. Sometimes you can book directly with the private excursion company and they will have a lower minimum age than DLC. If you can't book that specific excursion, perhaps there is another company offering a similar excursion that you could book.

It's a dolphin/sting ray encounter, but we can just do the 3+ dolphin encounter instead. I'm not brave enough to venture outside of Disney sanctioned excursions.

you can do it on your own. We've sailed several times with the under 5 age and just booked what we wanted on our own to include the kids.

I just like being under the cruise line umbrella, we're too chicken to venture off on our own like that.
