OK to book with American Airlines?

I've been pricing flights for our trip in December and the best fares I've found have been with American Airlines. I'm a bit hesitant to book with them due to all the bankruptcy talk that has been in the news. What do you think, will they still be in business come December? Or maybe I should just wait until a little closer to our trip to book anything? Any advice would be much appreciated!!

If AA goes into bankruptcy it will be chapter 11 like USAirways and they will keep flying.

Even if they don't the law says that other airlines must honor your ticket and can only charge you $25.

Keep in mind that between April and December there will be a zillion schedule changes.

How are Midwest Express prices from Madison to Orlnado?

I would love to fly them from Mpls, but tooo pricy.

I'd love to fly Midwest Express too, but they're too rich for me! The prices I've been seeing from AA are about $191, and for Midwest Express its $470!! It would be cheaper to fly out of Milwaukee, but then its still about $250. I still keep checking them though, maybe someday I'll get lucky!
