How do I multiple Quote people in a response!!!????

Hi!

I am sure there are other ways to do this, but here is what I do. I right-mouse-click on a the Quote link and then select to open the link in a new window. I do this for each of the posts that I want to quote. If I want to multi-quote from 5 different posts I should end up having 5 extra windows opened.

Then I leave the original quote reply window alone and go to the second one and copy all of the text string that is found in that reply box. (text string will have this basic format (QUOTE=****) text (/QUOTE) ****(except the parenthesis will be square brackets). Then once I have copied the text string, I close this window and then go back to my original window and paste the copied text string a few lines below the text string that was in my original quote reply box. Then I go to the next window and copy all of that text string, close it, and paste it a few lines below the last text string that I pasted onto the original window. And so on.

Once I have pasted in all of the (QUOTE=****) text (/QUOTE) ****(except the parenthesis will be square brackets) *** text strings that I want to work with I start typing my replies in between them. Be careful not to miss any of the brackets!

Oh I believe--there is a WAY easier way!

Next to the Quote button in the lower right corner of a post is a button that looks like a piece of paper and a set of quotation marks " and + sign. Just click that button for every post that you would like to quote. It will turn red with a - sign. If you change your mind you can click it again to "unquote" it.

When you are at the last one you want to quote click the Quote button or the Post Reply button and the posting box will come up with all the posts you have selected to quote.

Oh, I see...you mean the button that says Multi-quote on it when you mouse over it. Duh, I don't know how I never noticed that button; it's right there! Thanks so much for posting this! You have made my life on the DIS so much easier!
