Ok this is ridiculous...when will the doctor call me??

They have had the results for my ultrasound about the lump in my arm for two days now, one doctor ( not the one that saw me for this ) looked at it and said he would have to discuss it with my doctor , my doctor hasn't called me yet. I don't know what to think, probably the one doctor does not want to say anything because he's not the one who started this case, but why is my doctor taking so long to call me? OK, I want to think that it's nothing bad and that's why he's not calling, the wait is killing me.

MsKanga, call your office back - right now - and be pushy, demanding , what ever - that you want a call back TODAY. You are INSISTING that they provide you with the results of your Ultra Sound (which you KNOW they have the results of) and tell them you DON"T CARE which doc, or nurse informs you. - that two days is more than long enough to wait. And don't take the receptionist or nurses "well, I'm sure if it was something he would have called you" - tell them , well, if it's a nothing then someone in your office shouldn't have a problem actually reading the results and TELLING ME SO . (you don't happen to have a connection with the hospital, a docs office, or someone related to that particular hospital do you? if so, see if they will call the report line and get your results for you.)

This kind of thing really pis#%# me off. Been there done that - and our results ( on my father's MRI - showed that he had a massive bleed on the brain - we knew for a fact that the doc had the results by 8am (it was on the report line that the radiologist called him as soon as he read the results)- so we called the office. "oh, it might be Monday..."(this was Fri,.) Do you know that we NEVER got a call back from them or the Doc???? By 12 noon, my brother had to take the results (which he obtained via connections) over to the Docs office in person, and insisted that my dad be admitted to the ER. Just how long was this JERK going to sit on the results???

Ok, off my soap box.
(by the way, I do know both sides of the situation - I am an RN myself...the arrogance and lousy, unorganized business practices of a lot of these docs offices drives me CRAZY though.

I agree with Puffy...... you get on the phone now and do not get off that phone until you get some answers... I myself have had horror stories with waiting for a biopsy for over 10 days, not me but someone in my immediate family, and then when we got there results, it was chaos... So you get in there now and push for those results for your own piece of mind.. Hugs Kanga.. be strong...

I just called, they are going to bring my message to the doctor in person and ask him to call me back soon with it, they are putting my results along with the message to call me back ASAP letting him know that I want to know the outcome.
All I am asking for is 5 minutes to call me, it's not like I'm asking him to give me an hour of his time to call, I just want to know.
Thanks guys, I am not myself today, I have been cleaning like crazy just to keep myself busy , my heart races everytime I hear the phone, and yes you guessed it....today my phone has been ringing more than normal! I will let you know as soon as he calls.
