we are going but we still have 111 days till our trip and we are attending the party one night, so id love to hear all the great stuff about the party!!
tips on where to meet characters, rides that are open, opinions on the parades, fireworks, EVERYTHING GO!!

I had a great time. Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I was excited to experience my first party, last year. The parade and fireworks were both awesome. I think the celebrate the magic and Hallowishes was even better than the normal Wishes show. The Headless Horseman and the Grave Diggers with their shovels were stand out favorites for me. Also, be sure to check out The Haunted Mansion during the party when Madame Carlotta is out front and the cast members are in their costumes. Also, maybe get a couple of party exclusive Magic Shots taken, there's the Hitchhicking Ghosts, Hearse Driver, and Poison Apple.

I have no tips that you wouldn't read elsewhere. Just wanted to say the MNSSHP is my favorite thing in all of Disney World. We plan our trips around it (moved our trip back a week this year when they announced the party would not start as early in September as they have in the past). The atmosphere is amazing, the guests and cast members seem to be having so much more fun, and Hallowishes is incredible!

Best fireworks and parade in my opinion.
For characters I would prioritize who is most important to you and line up early. Make time for the show, I hear it will be new this year. If you can stay late then catch the 2nd parade and ride and do other things during the first.

One thing to think about will be your dining plans for that day. We prefer to have a late lunch instead of a dinner ADR because we don't want to waste party time sitting down to eat. We like to grab a snack to have while watching Hallowishes or the parade.

Be prepared for rain. We've been to more than one party where we are soaked. It can be aggravating but you just have to make the best of it.

Don't miss HM.

Save trick or treating for last--they don't run out of candy and you won't have to be packing it around until you are ready to go.

Some good advice here. Forgot to say that we also ate a late lunch (Grand Floridian Café) and then just had a snack or two at the party. There is so much to do, and I didn't want to take the time eating a full meal. We also got there about 3:45 and were let in at 4pm. I also made 3 FP+ for between 4-7pm. You can do that with your party ticket.

I love MNSSHP! The parade is my favorite (especially now that Jammin' Jungle is gone).

When I was there a few years back, later in the evening we saw tons of characters without any lines. It was a lot of fun, and a lot more interaction because nobody was waiting after us. But this would have been between 11 and midnight I think.

Can we use our party tickets for 3 Fp+ at MK in addition to the Fp+ we get with our regular package tickets?

Unfortunately, no. Wouldn't that be great, though? 3 FP+ in total. You can book additional FP+ after using the first 3

Only been once, but it is fantastic. The parade, the fireworks, the trick or treating...OH MY! You will love it! We are hoping there will be dates when we are there again next year!

@Jeannie in NJ they give out bags as you enter the park. There were also light up plastic buckets for sale in the shops. I did see people who had brought their own. We just used the bags that were handed out at the entrance. They are smallish, but we were given more by a CM when she saw our bags were bursting!

This will be our fourth year. The first year, it was our mission to meet Flynn Rider with Rapunzel. We waited for 2+ hours and the look on my son's face was SO worth it. Second year we thought we were in a 20 min line for Mickey that ended up over an hour. Last year we did zero character meets. The one constant every year has been MAJOR rain. To the point of almost not enjoying it.
