Ok, so NOW has anyone received their planning DVD yet?

I need mine for next week for bribing my family to take a trip for free dining. LOL.

:sad2: Haven't received it yet either. If it doesn't come soon, I may try to request it again.

Haven't gotten mine yet either. Our trip is in april so we still have time. Just seems like they should be getting here now.
:rolleyes1 :surfweb:

I ordered mine around the first week. I got an email on Oct 19th saying it was on its way.

Same with me...nothing yet...35 days to go. I did get my ME tags in the mail today though! :woohoo: :cool1:

I've posted on other threads that we saw filming for the new dvd still going on when we were down there. They were filming on September 24th in Frontierland (Woody) and 29th in front of the Partners statue. I seriously doubted any dvds would be ready for mailing in October, and depending on how long it would take for final edits I would think that late Nov. or early Dec. would be the earliest we will see these dvds get mailed.

I ordered one too, but I think I will still have to wait a little while. :hyper:

See, Someone was filming something around EE when we were there in early Sept, but I don't know what for. Either way though, if they were still filming and the final product was not ready, why would they put up the thing to order it? To me that seems a little dumb.

I don't understnd this either, but I'm only reporting what I saw. We saw the YOAMD decorations for the first time on the 29th. We thought they were waiting for the decorations to go up so they would be included in the film.

I am on week 6 and haven't received mine either. I don't go until Nov 2007, so I have plenty of time!

I hope you didn't feel like I was attacking you... I certainly wasn't. I told my mom about what you said, and she said she thinks they set up the order form early so they knew how many to order or something.

Which I understand, but then why, in the middle of October, when they may not be anywhere near ready to send out, would they send out emails saying the video is on its way. :confused3 Send me that when I got a week or two weeks left, ya know.

me neiother, no maps or DVD and I leave in 13 days!!

Still nothing here....an email said that it would be ready to ship soon and that was about 3 weeks ago.....hopefully it will get here before Christmas....we leave 12/29.

Oh, OK. I wasn't sure quite how to interpret what you said, but it wasn't a flame or anything so I didn't get bent out of shape over it.

I still think they were waiting until they had some of the YOAMD decorations up and wanted to include them in the new dvd. But I agree it does seem odd that they would send us e-mails telling us the new dvd was on its way and 3 or 4 weeks later they are still have not begun to arrive. When I got my e-mail telling me the new dvd was on its way soon, I wondered how on earth they finished filming, made edits, and got the dvds made so quickly. Believe me, I would like nothing better than to be proven wrong if the filming was actually for something else, but the timing to coincide with the beginning of YOAMD just seems too much to ignore.

bgdiznee is right. Before you think about park hopping, you have to consider the month of the year. During the busiest times, usually the last month of the year or May through August, park hopping is a waste of time and money. I went in the last week of July and the MK was packed in COMPLETELY! I mean, you couldn't see the pavement because people occupied every spot available to walk on! Any seasoned traveller would be brought to their knees in seconds!

The second day, I went to EPCOT and although the crowds were visibly thinner, it was still quite a chore running to the next attraction in 99-degree weather. By noon, I felt like a 80-year-old who hadn't slept in three days! Consider when to go and check the attendance averages. If it's going to be crowded and you intend to go, skip the hopper option. You'll never have enough time to use it UNLESS you are in a hotel on the park property such as CR but even then, it'll be misery most of the way.

When I was leaving the MK on my first day, I was shocked by how many MORE people were flooding into the parks. I would have felt like I had lost money if I had chosen to park hop during the summer months. After everyone is officially in school, the crowds thin out considerably so that would be a good time to use the park hopper.

I'm lost. What does this have to do with the new dvd?

Been about five or six weeks here and no DVD. Luckily we're not going until September of next year so with luck it might be here in time ;)

I am still waiting for mine to and I go in 18 days! Good news for those that have ordered the maps though, I placed my order 2-3 weeks ago but got an email to day saying mine were mailed on Nov. 16 which was Thursday. It had my order number in the email too so I am assuming the date is accurate. Hopefully I will get them next week :)

I got my maps last week and they are just like treasure maps real cool. To big to carry in the park but sure are nice for a keepsake. I leave in 6 days and still no DVD keep hoping it will come before I leave.
