Ok, so NOW has anyone received their planning DVD yet?

bgdiznee is right. Before you think about park hopping, you have to consider the month of the year. During the busiest times, usually the last month of the year or May through August, park hopping is a waste of time and money. I went in the last week of July and the MK was packed in COMPLETELY! I mean, you couldn't see the pavement because people occupied every spot available to walk on! Any seasoned traveller would be brought to their knees in seconds!

The second day, I went to EPCOT and although the crowds were visibly thinner, it was still quite a chore running to the next attraction in 99-degree weather. By noon, I felt like a 80-year-old who hadn't slept in three days! Consider when to go and check the attendance averages. If it's going to be crowded and you intend to go, skip the hopper option. You'll never have enough time to use it UNLESS you are in a hotel on the park property such as CR but even then, it'll be misery most of the way.

When I was leaving the MK on my first day, I was shocked by how many MORE people were flooding into the parks. I would have felt like I had lost money if I had chosen to park hop during the summer months. After everyone is officially in school, the crowds thin out considerably so that would be a good time to use the park hopper.

I am still waiting for my maps and my DVD. I still have four weeks before I leave so hopefully we will get them before then. My plan is to take the DVD with me and watch it on the plane to Florida!!!

We want to watch ours on the plane too! But we are leaving in 2 1/2 wks so I am very doubtful that I will receive by then. But one can hope!!

I would assume that the new video would say soemthing about YOAMDs and this one does not say anything anywhere. So I'm thinking I got a video that doesn't have anything to do with YOAMDs... so I guess I'm going to reorder it.

YAY! I was so excited to see this on my dining room table when I got home from work. I don't really have a chance to watch it tonight but at least I now know that I can watch it whenever I want!

Yes it did. It explained a little about what it was about and then a pompt appeared on the screen that said something along the lines of 'for more details about YOAMD press the enter key on your remote'.

Ordered it at the beginning of October, then again the beginning of November and finally got it today. I leave for my vacation in a few days.

Mine got to South Jersey today - just got home and put it right in - all new lots of YOAMD theming - so far a little blurb about Monsters Inc comedy, updated POTC, new Nemo ride . . . so far so good !!!
