Ah where to begin. I ashamed to say that I have lost weight 2 times before. I know way more then I ever have. How embrassing to say that.
Mickey D Sweet Tea is my achilles hill.

I am 39 going to be 40 in Dec. I keep hearing that after 40 it's really hard. However, I have had some health issues lately. I really think my bottom half is out of alignment. It started with my knee. Then one night my ankle was suddenly swollen and painful. Then last week I hurt my back. I didn't bend or anything. It was more just sat wrong. But it was bad enough I had to go to the er. Still recovering from that.

Bottom line is I can't live like this. I am going to Disney in Nov. That was why I lost the weight last time. So I thought better reason. I don't have a lot of time but I would love to be down at least 40.

I am starting at 235. There I said it. Now I have to do it.

Try getting the iced tea unsweetened and have them add Splenda. I switched to this and it is helping!

Welcome aboard!!

We all have an achilles heel, trust me but you have to keep this in mind.

don't exchange what you want most for what you want at the moment

Come join us on the BL summer challenge and the July exercise challenge. Lots of motivation and suport there.

thanks for response ladies. It was getting a little intimidating to spill your guts, have 100's of people read it and no one say anything. ;) I will check out those threads when I get a chance.

I am hoping my dr is going to help me with my back today so I can start to do some exericse. :guilty:

I threw out my lower back last week. All I did was get out of bed. Once I was standing upright for a few minutes I was okay, but if I sat down, getting up was so painful. Another time I was buckling my son in his car seat and felt a pop in my back.

You can do this for sure. Determination is everything. I saw photos of myself in front of the castle in January and that's when I got serious about losing the weight. The next photos I take will be in February. I can't wait for the before and after.

Soda was my Achilles heal. I was so upset with how I looked on our trip that the last soda I had was on the plane ride home on January 15.

You can do this! :cheer2:

You can do this. I too am looking at one of the ones, will be 50 in august and need to make a change. I weigh in at 242.

I decided I needed motivation so I signed up for the Tinkerbell 1/2 marathon in Jan, booked my hotel and airfare and started training. I have never run before but with Disney as the reward for finishing training you bet I will stick with it.

Pick a goal that is a stretch but not impossible and a reward that you really want and not willing to give up. We will help cheer you on. :dance3:

my biggest reward right now, is to not look stupid getting in and out of things on my Nov trip. lol ONly if your overweight can you truly understand what I am saying. ;) I was a little disappointed this week. I cut back my carbs, and didn't drink any reg sweet tea and pop. Of course I could not exericse. I gained a pound. :sad2: I wasn't expecting bells and whistles bus something. I was on steriods, so I am hoping that is why. I am off the steriods now. If my back doesnt' stay good this time. He is going to shoot me up. So hopefully tis week. I can at least do some slow walking. lol thanks everyone.
