But I still want to vote! Do you? Lets see what we get here on the boards.
Assuming that it is either 15% or 25% off the following:

Definitely AP... at the moment I wouldn't ever get my moneys worth out of a PAP even with a discount

Definitely AP. We go once a year and with the AP, I can go in August one year and then in May the following year.

AP, but it would need to be a good discount. I'd be pleased with the 25%. Just like others I'm sure if we had a decent discount on an AP we'd buy them yearly and we would probably not end up in the future going to other parks like Universal since we would already have the AP. It would also make it more reasonable to go into the parks for just a dinner, etc.

Maybe getting an AP every year would make it more appealing for an add on to hubby, too! ;)

I voted for the AP, too.

Wonder why they didn't ask us? Maybe 9 trips in the last 3 years isn't often enough to matter to them, LOL!!

I voted PAP. I really do hope that if this really ever comes to fruition, that a PAP choice is offered. Loving DTD and planning to be at SSR, we will definitely be going to PI. My son, who is 13, also insists on DQ many if not all evenings. It wouldn't make any sense for us to buy an AP without buying additional APs to PI and DQ. And we can't forget about the water parks either. Any other PAP votes out there?

Park Hopper is fine with us but we honestly do not expect a discount on passes at all we allready get far more than the average guest anyhow.

what do all initials in the poll stand for?

AP=Annual Pass: Unlimited admission all year to the four major parks only
PAP=Premium Annual Pass: Unlimited admission all year to the four major parks, Pleasure Island, water parks, and Disney Quest
PH=Park Hopper: a multiple day pass to four major parks such as 4 or 5 day passes.
UPH=Ultimate Park Hopper: a length of stay pass which is good from the time you check in to the time you check out and gets you into the four major parks, Pleasure Island, water parks, and Disney Quest

With a 25% discount on AP's, we would be going to the parks much more often than we go now! :bounce:

Ap as well. WOud go down more and definitely go in the parks if this were an option! Good idea for the poll being we didn't get a survey either :)

AP for us. We find it to be the best value for what we do. About the only marginal expense we have for travel to Disney is the car service, meals and tips. Well, then there is also pin collecting, other shopping and recreation :)

I think Disney should offer a discount on all the tickets for dvc members, maybe giving the AP the best % off, but something on the others tto, like 10% maybe.

I received the card to vote, don't kill me here, but I voted for the park hoppers, we don't go every year, or every 12 months, so an AP would do us no good. I like the hoppers because I can use them as I want. But when they asked for comments, I told them they should just give us a discount on all tickets and let us decide for ourselves what we want!!! But this I assume would be too easy! I also told them if they gave us discounts like "florida residents", they would be making more in the long run, because we would be spending more!

We already go 2-3 times a year with our AP's. With the discount... We'd probably be down there MORE!!! WOO HOO! :Pinkbounc

I voted for Premium Annual Pass.

With a teenager and a twenty-something in the family, who still want to vacation with the family:Pinkbounc , waterparks and PI are very important to us, even though we don't imbibe.

DH and I are visiting this summer without the kids. Yes, we are leaving them home because they both have jobs and can't take off at this time. Teenager just returned from 2 weeks in Europe, so don't feel sorry for her.

We are staying for 8 days and plan to go to Epcot one day. That's it. We are going to rest, relax and explore the rest of Orlando, but not US or IA. Probably, PI one night and definately Citywalk.

Now a PAP with a discount would have us in a park for part of each day, at least for a meal. We haven't done a character breakfast in quite a while.

Let me preface this by saying that we wouldn't take advantage of any DVC ticket offerings unless it was 25%.

At this point in our travelling lives, we probably would choose APs. Because we either do one big trip for more than 7 days or several trips that equal more than 7 days. As our children are younger, we don't do DisneyQuest or Pleasure Island.

However, as our family grows and ages, I see the possibilities of using a UPH or PAP, when DQ and PI become more important to our vacations.

I would like to see discounts on all the park admission media. Everyone travels differently, everyone's ideas of where to go when at Disney is different. Giving every ticket the discount allows individuals and individual families the chance to choose what's right for them.

That's why I don't buy UPHs right now with our teeny discount. It doesn't benefit me to pay for a ticket that I can't or won't fully take advantage of at this stage of my life.

Of the choices given, I would choose AP.

As others have indicated, we've talked about pass discounts for DVC members for years on this board. I remember getting totally FLAMED years ago, when others would suggest just giving DVC members discounts equivalent to those offered to Florida residents, for even daring to mention, "Well - what about 'actual' Florida residents?"

I think Dean mentioned in one of the threads earlier this week that he said it may be necessary to cut the discount below Florida residents' rates... I appreciate his comment.

Irregardless - unless the AP discount is really substantial, I'll probably stick to my Seasonal Pass. But I "don't" see that the SP would be appropriate to offer to DVC members, as that could really create an imbalance in availability due to the blackout periods.
