I remember as a kid, my parents took us to Disney in August and it rained every afternoon for about 20 minutes.

We are planning a honeymoon for Sept '05 and I was wondering if anyone knew if it still rains heavily in the beginning (week after labor day) of Sept. Would it be any different if we went in the 3rd or 4th week of September?

I did read on weather.com that the average daily high was in the upper 80s, but they didn't give any precip. info.

Thanks in advance!!

When we went to WDW for our first trip ever it was mid-September 1998.

It was very hot and humid still and it did rain everyday but only for 15 minutes or so. It wasn't that bad.

We went in Sept 2002 during the last week into Oct for our honeymoon. The weather was fantastic. Shorts & tee shirts everyday, but not unbearable heat. And it only rained on us once for 30 mins. We'd love to go back during that time of year again!!

We went last year the week after Labor Day. It was so great, we are going back that week agin this year. Crowds were low, the weather was great. Our kids missed the first 3 days of school but I refuse to go during busy times. I highly recommend September.

We went last Sept for 9 days. It only rained for and hour once. We loved being at Disney in Sept!

I think September sounds like a perfect time for a honeymoon! We went in May and September last year and September was best by far. The crowds were very manageable and the weather was great. It rained the first two days we were down there and sun and 80s after that. I think September is a great time to go! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Our favorite time to go is Sept, but early in the month it is still HOT!!!!!

Our next trip, we'll plan late Sept/early Oct to get it a little less hot and humid.

Also, it can and will still rain in Sept and even into Oct, but it tends to rain less often the later in summer/autumn you go. Plus the rain will TEND to be short hard heavy showers that pass through pretty quickly.

The only other thing about Sept/Oct is the love bugs - if you catch it right, there are a LOT of them. They don't bite or sting, but the sheer quantity of them can be annoying.

Personally, I prefer September. We were down last year for 9 days and it was great. We had rain for maybe an hour while we were there total. You will enjoy September.
