OK.... so, are "The Glimore Girls" and "Nip/Tuck", really good? SSB breaks down

SSB was off to Target tonight as I am the snack/drink "Mom" tomorrow morning for Branch's game... and saw this GREAT sale going on for first season DVD's.

Have seen some great things here about "The Gilmore Girls" and also here and from good friend about "Nip/Tuck"... so bought for only $18!!! both of their first seasons... and if like, may go back tomorrow (last day of sale) to pick up second season of GG. Have to admit also acquired first season of "Gilligan's Island", as such a great offer!

A good thing????????????

I love both those shows, but they're as different as can be!

GG is funny, fast talking but family friendly fun. Lots of weird cultural references

N/T is a bit strange (though not too bad in the 1st season) with some graphic scenes.

Again, both are highly entertaining--have fun!

Gilmore Girls is a good show. I find it cute and entertaining. Nip/Tuck is strange and while some may disagree, I am not a strange person. It's too weird for me. I do love Gilligan and can watch it over and over again. So two out of three ain't bad. (hey, isn't that a song????)

Gilmore Girls is very good. Great cast chemistry. I want to live in Stars Hollow!

Nip/Tuck Season 1 was very entertaining and smart. After mid Season 2 I found the show unwatchable though. It has become way too reliant on sex and shock value.

I LOOOOOOOOOVE the Gilmore Girls... I would like to know if there really is a Stars Hollow out there somewhere.. And if there isn't then don't tell me, I don' want to bust my bubble...

DH like Nip Tuck...I can't stand it..Too much sex and bad acting..


Here, the GG DVDs go for $50 a season
I am so glad they play Reruns 2-3 times a day

I got Nip/Tuck a few weeks ago and love it. I paid $19.99 at Costco. Now I need a deal on Season 2.

Its not something you can watch around kids.

The first season of Nip Tuck is the best so far. Now its in the third season and it is very dark.

Nip Tuck is about plastic surgeons in Miami. These surgeons have various family and marital issues. One character exhudes sexuality so if that bothers you, put the DVD away immediately.

No issue is untouched in Nip Tuck. (Especially the first season). If I recall correctly, there are storylines on child abuse, transgenders, teenage stuff (like car accidents), marriages crumbling, and some sexual diseases.

The first season is the best so far. 2nd season was good until about 1/2 through and it crumbled. The third season is very dark right now.

I love Nip/Tuck! It's my guilty pleasure. I do have to turn the volume down for all the bone cracking and spend alot of the time watching to the side during the body "alteration" scenes!

I bought Season 2 of Gilmore Girls at Target yesterday and got a rain check for Season 1. I love that show!

I haven't watched Nip/Tuck either.
