In a move that was just reported on CBS.Sportline.Com, the A-Rod deal has gone through ! When this was first reported last night, I had a deep pit in my stomach over this move, knowing how close the Red Sox were to trading for him and then having it fall apart:mad:. But now, after analyzing this situation and reading some comments made by Curt Schilling I feel much better::yes::! A-Rod has never been known as the "consumate team player" which means he will fit in well with the Yankees organization:snooty:. Besides, I feel much better with the Red Sox rotation than the Yankees line-up. Red Sox management has built a solid team from top to bottom and front to back. The loss of Soriano and a weakened pitching staff, makes the Yankees vulnerable.:worried:. All I can say is A-Rod better becareful when he steps in to the batter's box for the first time in Fenway against Schilling or Pedro:duck:!!! He will now become public enemy #1:scared:. All this will do is make it much more sweeter for the Red Sox Nation in Ocotber. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes So don't let this get you down. Ok, deep breath, all together now,:grouphug:!!

Yeah just keep hoping cause thats all you can do is just hope. Just remember the curse is always on our side!!!!!!!!!!!

Title of this thread: "OK Red Sox fans, huddle up". Anyone responding should either be a Red Sox fan or supporter, or a Yankee with no class.

Now that I've said that - Yes, we were very sick to hear this news yesterday. Surprised? Heck no! Anyway, DH said Arod wants out of Tex. no matter where he goes, so I don't think you can fault him.

In any case, looking forward to baseball season for many reasons, most of all because that means Spring is near!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_101.gif' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_4_12.gif' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_4_12.gif' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_4_16.gif' border=0></a>

P.S. Found some hidden-video of Pedro vs. Arod, looks like we have nothing to worry about! :teeth:

I've always been a Sox fan, but I'm seriously thinking of becoming a Yankees fan after this. Guess I'm going to have to go out and buy some new ball caps for myself:rolleyes:

I still like the Red Sox in the East......see you in Oct.!

llebrekniT I wasnt putting you down as a person. Iwas putting down you team. I didnt appreciate you labeling me as a loser!

I'm still trying to find the post where you were labeled a loser blz85!? I think you have some security issues going on there young man!!!:( Although I did see something to the effect of Yankee fans with no class! :crazy2: But no name calling. If you're going to post on these boards you'd better except the differing opinions that we all express and the fact that we can disagree without lowering ourselves to name calling or classless comments. All you have done is strengthen my feelings that I have about Yankee fans  . You draw your own conclusions!

I don't know you, I've never met you and I've never spoken or typed your name before.

Did you see something in my post that seemed to apply to you? Hmmmmm, must be a guilty conscience trying to get your attention.

This is a RED SOX thread, why would you come in here? I would like an answer. Thank you.

OK guys, just seen the news and you know what, it's not that
great of a trade IMHO.

Soriano and A-rod were almost identical in stats last year, A-rod add 10 more homers, big deal. Also he's got to play third (big difference) I say he'll have more errors over there, remember Shortstops are use to having the ball come their way, and it comes faster at third. Third is the toughest position in the infield by far. And the Yanks lost their all-star second basemen.

An all-star for an all-star, I don't like it, didn't like when the Sox were trying it, glad it fell thru, they can have him, it's more about what they lost last year and what we gained, look at those transactions and you'll clearly see we are still the favorites to win the East this year.

Go Sox

Ok fine maybe i was overreacting. We wil just both hope for a great season.Good luck to everyones favorite team!

The last time I checked, the Yankees really needed pitching. I thought the Boss was smarter than this. Perhaps, his ego signed A-Rod so the Sox wouldn't get him. It's going to be along season in New York. They should've used A-Rod's money to keep Pettite. Oh well! :)

Now the Yankees think they are the best again, boy am I going to hear it at work tommorrow.

I recall all my yankee friends, when the Sox were wooing A-Greed, complaining and whining and trying to talk themselves into believing how horrible it would be for baseball if this went through! Today, that all changed! Greatest trade in baseball history, Greatest player ever, Yankees move back ahead of Sox as favorites. Ya' know, give me a break! They still have to play the game and as far as I know, A-Greed can't pitch! The way to counter good hitting is with good pitching and that's what the Red Sox have and the Spankees don't! Don't worry Ray, all those yankee fans will have alot to eat in October...mark my words!::yes:: I hear Darth Trader has some renovations to do in his locker room so that he can fit all those big heads in there at the same time!:crowded:
