John likes the Pixies, how about the Dis-ies (Dizzys)

I like this one ... actually my DH has been calling all us DIS folks "dizzies" for a couple years. (I'm getting even now because he has joined a board called Kiva Friends which is for folks who are really into micro-lending at Kiva.com - I'm calling him and his friends "Kivans")

Anyway ... DIS-ies sort of has a pixie-ish feel to it, definitely ties into the board/site and is short and easy to say.

I often facilitate folks that are charged with "blue sky" kind of deliverables... I think we may be too narrow in our thought process (although I do like the thought of lime green tights for everyone, maybe a test run on the cruise).

Lets all think about what these guys mean to us. Here is what I experience...

The gang tells us about not only DIS, but travel in general, they are both east and west coast, they go beyond DIS in that we learn about Universal, Sea World, etc...

They instruct, entertain, explore, and share actual adventures... and make me laugh out loud many times a year (a true gift by the way)

They are modern day explorers, guides, kind of an Indiana Jones or Adventures Club kind of thing..

Why sometimes they are even like Don Quixote jousting with the DIS windmills (often have the same result)..

OK , let's see what you guys come up with (I told you I only facilitate)

The team is more than the sum of the parts, it is more than the voices we hear, it is all of the people behind the scenes, and all of you as well... (But you would think it was John's $$$$, hehehe)

I was thinking more like a play off of other titles like.....

Bawb's angels (charlie's angels)

This one would only work if all of their discussions were prompted by a random Bawb clip played on the prizematron. (Thinking back to how Charlie was only ever known from what he said over that radio thing)

Okay...I have to share, the name I came up with was "The Fairy Podmothers". Now with that being said, I don't know that we have to kill too many brain cells over this as I'm thinking John was only kidding -- but we are having fun and that's what really matters, right?

I can't even come up with a name for my DD's new soccer team let alone a name for Pete and the Gang. I did do a search for team names and found a website that had lists of names. Becuase we live in a town that starts with M, I went to the Ms. The very first team name listed was Multiple Score.... I'm let you finish the name. I'm not sure that would fly with 7 year old girls. I wonder if there is a list for what to call the pod squad heroes???

I think "Pod People" might be a good name or perhaps "the DISPod People"
