I am familiar with the fireworks show, spectro magic, Illumintations, Fantasmic... I want to know about the others I have heard of...Lion King, Little Mermaid. What and where are these? My kids are 4, 3, and 21months. What would you recco? Thanks so much!! :earsgirl:

"Festival of the Lion King" at Camp Minnie-Mickey at the Animal Kingdom is regarded by many as the best "whole family" stage show in all of WDW.
I would agree. It runs SEVERAL times EVERY DAY.
Comedy, songs, costumes, HUGE "puppet animals", acrobats ("Tumble Monkeys")... it is SPECTACULAR and FUN.

"Beauty and the Beast On Stage" at the Disney/MGM Studios is VERY fine.
Presented several times per day every day.
Broadway-style with dancing, singing, costumes and great characters.
And don't miss the pre-show... so be in the theater at least 25 minutes BEFORE the posted showtime.

Voyage of the Little Mermaid is not in the same league as the first two I mentioned, but it is a very nice show. Be aware that for portions of this show they take down all the lights in the theater and it is DARK.
Mermaid runs virtually one-show-after-another throughout the day at the Disney/MGM Studios. In busy times, you'll need a FastPass.

Thanks so much for your advice and quick replys! I will definitely put the first two shows into my itinerary!

The lion king at AK is one your kids would like, at MGM little mermaid, playhouse disney, maybe beauty and the beast. Most of the good shows are at these parks, AK also has pocahontas, it's ok. If time permits at mgm the stunt show, and car show are good also, however they are loud with explosions and stuff.

Kids will love the Little Mermaid, it's cute. My favorite show is the Festival of the Lion King, it's great. I agree that the Stunt Show at MGM is very loud, and maybe not for kids as young as yours.

My DS(2), loved Playhouse Disney, he loves Bear in the Big Blue House! Also he liked the Little Mermaid and the Lion King was a big hit also. What I liked about Playhouse Disney and the Lion King, is that is was loud enough for him to squeal and scream because of the noise level! Those are the 3 shows on our do not miss list. Have a great time!

Mickey's Philharmagic in the MK is not to be missed. No live performers. It is a 3D movie but it is by far the best one on the property. We saw it twice and wish we had gone a third time. Wonderful!

Are you older kids boys or girls?

Boys.. if they like fire and exposions like my 4yo, they might like Indiana Jones. My DS cant wait to see that again. We didnt have time for it over THanksgiving, and now thats all he says " we didnt see Indiana Jones".

Girls.. Storytime with Belle in the Fairy Tale Garden. They pick kids to be in the play. My daughters were Luminere(sp) and Mrs. Potts when they were 4 & 5.

There is Flights of Wonder in AK. Its a show with like birds. I know Tarzen Rocks was supposed to close, but Im not sure WHEN. They would like that.. singing, dancing, rollerskating monkeys. Its tough to be a bug is a 3-d show. Some people say it could be intense for little ones. But mine all love it. Take them to the Honey I shrunk the kids Movie Set playground in MGM. Its really cute in there and the kids love it. Make sure they stick their hand in the dogs nose and let it sniff them :dog2: In MK, they just opened another play area for smaller kids, called Pooh's Playful Spot. Some water fun, Pooh's home in the big tree, things to climb on, a soft rubbery cushiony floor.

IN Epcot, one of our favorite things to do in United Kingdom is listen to British Invasion. They look and sound the Beatles. Inside is a kidcot station, and a character meet & greet with pooh characters and sometimes Mary Poppins. This is where we saw rabbit for the VERY FIRST time in 11 trips!! Outside, we sit and listen to the music. There is a hedge maze around the gazebo where they perform. The kids love running through that while we enjoy the show.
