OK Norm and I are going to try again

Hey there,
OK with the Grace of God, Norm and I are planning to go to Key West the weekend of November 8th - leaving here on Friday and coming back on Monday - I will be checking out something new and go back to the old places and see what is happening - was going this next weekend, but it is Fantasy Fest time and rooms are going for $400.00 a night - hummmm I remember when everyone that had motels in Key West waaaaaay back when had to advertise outside of Key West and almost pay folks to come down to Key West - conch prices are $300.00 so we just decided to wait a while
anyhow is there anything or any place anyone wants me to check out - I am going to bring back a bunch of new stuff to send to anyone that wants it - its no cost except the cost of a LARGE manilla envelope with about $3,50 worth of stamps on it and self addressed please ------
Just note it here and I will print out and take with me -
I am especially interested in the "scavenger hunt" - dan of danandscott went this past Sunday and he is suppose to get back to me and let me know if it is for real.

thanks for all the good wishes and pixie dust - I told Norm if he got sick this time, I was going to throw him off the 5th floor porch and then he really will have a good reason to say he is not feeling good
Naw just kidding - I always love going "home" and especially checking out all the new gimmicks being offered - I am going to try and get Jimmy Buffet's to give me discount tickets, but I doubt if they will since they laughted last time I asked - they are the most pricy in that block of Duval Street - was there twice and didn't go back - Crabby Dicks is really a neat place and I love the atmosphere there also I was surprised to learn that many ol' conchs go there or what is left of them - it was at one time a woman and children's clothing store that I managed back in the late 50's - will let you know what I find out - on November 9th, I still plan to be in Key West strolling Duval Street - Norm refuses to go since he just doesn't care for the confusion - but just maybe he will make sunset at Mallory Square, but we sure will take our own drinks since they are very very high if brought close to the square - too my grandfather's picture is hanging in Meson de Pepe which is right on Mallory Square and I need to check that out with letters written by him and my grandmother - they were the first latin teacher and professor in Key West (just another tidbit you won't learn on the conch train) - as I said if you want me to check anything out, just let me know.

Shirley - whats this I just read about taking your own drinks to Mallory Square?

Drinks mainly beer is sold for $8.00 for just a cup - that is why I say take your own drink that you buy on the strip for less unless you can afford that kind of expense
Key West is a great adult playground - I had read what Rae had posted about the tee shirt shops and their "displays" - I protested but it didn't work ----
