So, for a buffet, my son is under 3, but he WILL be eating. Will I have to pay the 3 - 9 year old price, or will be not be charged, even if we are getting him his own plate?

Thanks!!

I've always made plates for my children under 3 and never been charged for them.

I'm interested to see if things have changed.

Children who are 2 years old are FREE in Disney, and yes they are allowed to go to the buffet and get their own things. Last year when we went, DS was going to be 3 about a weeks after our trip ended and he is a huge boy to begin with. I carried his birth cert w. me, just in case. BTW, I never needed it.

We went with out two year old last month. He shared entrees with us and his sister some of the time; when we wanted to get him his own meal we would just pay out of pocket for a kids meal.

Cindy's mom is right, children under 3 are free in all the "one set price for meals" at WDW. They are charged for any menu meal. (table service and counter service.)

This makes going with a 2 year old a good deal. Get as many in as you can! Buffets are also great at that age because sometimes you don't know what they will eat until it is in front of their face!

Make sure your server knows they are under 3 and they do not charge you for the child.

Eat away!!!!!!!! (oh and be sure to go to Crystal Palace, we love that place.)
