OY I hate to admit this, but I had a hard time letting Kaylee go to Kindergarten today. :(

She was so brave and excited but at the same time I could tell she was nervous. She came in this morning and sat on my lap and cuddled for 20 minutes. Thats what did me in I think.

I took her to school and she jumped right in though so I know shes going to be fine. She already had a friend there, when she walked in a little girl yelled " HI KAYLEE!!!" :) so that was cool.

Anyway, shes growing up and maybe Im not as adjusted to that idea as I thought I was.

please pass the humble pie.

Nah, you're just a mom. I cried both times my girls went to kindergarten. They were fine, but I sure wasn't.

I'm glad she had a friend there already. My GF's little boy is only in preschool but he loves it. He has lots of little girlfriends in his class so that makes it much easier.

Even though you know she'll be fine it's still a state of mind you have to overcome: babyhood is over and now Kaylee is a schoolage child! It is bittersweet, I went through it last year myself with my twins. This year they start 1st grade and even though DH and I joke about how much we'll enjoy having them gone all day, I know it's going to be sad for me also.

 to you...

I'll be right there with you in a couple of weeks. I've had one DD go off to Kindergarten and is now in 2nd grade (cried when she left on the bus that day...actually felt weird that she didn't need me as much as I had imagined). Now my youngest DD starts on the 9th of Sept...already misty eyed at the thought of my baby being old enough to go to school!

My daughter is 10th grade and I remember the day I put her on the school bus for kindergarten. I stood in the road watching the bus pull away crying. It's a hard day, so much changes.

Hope she had a good day at school! It won't make it easier for you; but it might make you feel a little better! Giving my little princess an extra big hug, too. I am glad I have a while before I need to do that with her!

Whew! Just Kindergarten mom jitters. When I saw the thread I was concerned that you were getting squemish about Cam's football! Hope you all have a great fall--it is my favorite time of year.
