Ok-Magic Band Question and I swear I read as much as I could --

I've not been to WDW for a while and so happy to be going back! Much has changed!

I understand Magic Band, I know my resort will send me them ... but when will I get the ability to choose a color and customize with name before they send me plain old gray ones? I am going in Dec 2018 - just made the reservations. I have My Dis Experience set up - dining ressies all set -- not on app yet (ok - getting a new phone!). But is it just too early to search for magic band "set up" at the My Dis Exp website?? Or am I just not seeing it.

If you log onto MDE from your computer and hover over the drop down menu, Magic bands is an option to click on. You can customize them anytime. You have up until 30 days prior to your stay. They usually email you to remind you to customize them!

ETA: If you change your mind, you can change the color as long as it's before the 30 day mark.

On MDE, on the right hand side, hover over "My Disney Experience", and one of the drop-downs will say "Magic Bands and Cards". Click on that and you're on your way! You will have up to about 30 days before your trip to edit them...new color, new name.... and they'll be sent to the profile address of whomever is the main person on your reservation about 30 days out from your trip. I just got mine for my trip ...23 days to go. Have a terrific trip!
