We are leaving for our first Disneyland Trip Tuesday :woohoo:

So... I will be printing our "must do/see/eat at" list this weekend.

This is your last chance to influence me. :rotfl:

I'm looking for all you vets to share your cant miss things to do, and places to eat (both quick on property meals, and table dining on (or off property)

Thanks!

get there as early as possible, i always run to space mountain and get a fastpass, then goto Indy's and stand in "line" (there usually isnt one) then by the time you are off you either have time for one or 2 rides, or you go back to space mountain to use your fast passes depending on what time they were for.
after that go back to main street and grab some breakfast if you are hungry, but dont plan out too much of a schedual or it can be stressful instead of fun:goodvibes :thumbsup2

I can help you with some food info, since my family loves to eat and snack at Disneyland!

For a quick lunch that you can share, check out Stage Door Cafe in Frontierland. They have fish and chips, chicken strips and chips, and cheese sticks and chips. My niece and I usually get the 6 piece chicken and chips to share. It's $8 but since we share it's a pretty cheap lunch!

You must have some ice cream from the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street!

We love to eat a quick lunch at Taste Pilot's Grill in DCA as well. They have burgers, chicken, ribs. Again the portions are big enough to share.

In DTD we like Rainforest and ESPN for dinner.

Hope this helps!

See Billy Hill & the Hillbilies. Kind of a corney show, but they are a kick!!! :lmao: They are at the Golden Horseshoe, so you can grab some lunch in there while you watch the show!!!
They have lots of jokes that adults will get as well as jokes for the kids! Plus sitting in the front row or two as well as on the side boxes will get you a little more interaction with the performers.

Gibson Girl Ice Cream is a must (and the smell of those fresh waffle cones are to-die-for!)... :cloud9:

If you are going to Toontown, I suggest hitting that in the morning as there is not a lot of shade there, so it can get hot and crowded in the afternoon. Plus, it closes in the evening for the fireworks.

See the Aladdin show in DCA... spectacular Boradway level performance! :thumbsup2

Can't think of any other things at the moment.

Hope you have a great trip!!!!! :goodvibes

My best advice is to take some time to appreciate the little things. There can be so much hustle and bustle in DL, rushing to get to this ride or that ride, that it's easy to overlook some of the thoughtful details that really make the park such a magical place.

Take time in ride lines to touch what you can - you might be surprised! Indy, for example, is fun for this. All the signage in the Monsters Inc. ride is so cleverly done - I wanted to take pictures of everything!!

Taking some time to slow down and really ENJOY the park is, to me, one of the most magical experiences at DL.

Thank you so much!

Princesskim: Thanks for the fastpass tips!
Tlovedis: Mmmm ok Ice Cream shop has been added!
CuteDisneyGirly: OK Aladin has been added too!
