I just need to vent... My DH and 3 DD's are on my nerves. I think that I could just walk out the door and I could be replaced. Mind you they would need: a taxi driver, chef, maid, laundry person, landscaper, grocery shopper... I just feel like everyone is completely ungrateful!

Anyone else have these kinds of days?

Yup, I have had days like that. I typically just leave and go shopping or something and let them fend for themselves.

Boy, have I had those days.........too many too count. :flower3: HUGS to you

yep, i've had many a day like that. only it isn't my DH and DD, but my mother and grandmother who cause the grief. it is so bad, DH and i have considered moving overseas to escape! so i know your pain  i hope your day improves.

 I've had those days too! I like to take a time out and get a mani/pedi:goodvibes

hang in there...your family loves you.

Terri

Sorry you are having one of those days.

Go out and treat yourself to a movie you want to see or something just for you!

Yup, as a single mother of teenagers I feel like that alot:laughing: A nice long walk topped off with an ice cream or other treat, followed by some alone time in my bedroom with the door closed and either a movie or book does wonders for me:)

Yep, I've had those days too. I'd love to take off, but DCFS frowns on leaving two young'uns at home on their own. (I have joked at the Y that I am just going to take off and head for the border - haven't done it yet, but a couple days were close.)

Hang in there, and do something nice for yourself.

I've got you beat. My oldest child just started college. My dh & I were joking over dinner about what we could do with the $17,000 check we just wrote for tuition if we didn't have to pay tuition.

The selfish, spoiled SOB (note: normally I do love my kids) looked at us and said "What else do you have to do with your money" :furious: must control fist of death, must control fist of death. If it wasn't for my dh pulling my hands from around his neck, I would be looking for a few sympathetic dissers to serve on my jury.

Right now, I am the worrier, as my 18yodd is driving back to college (2hr drive).

7th grade dd is upstairs with a cold and slight fever. Naturally kids have the swine flu on college dd's floor, I hope she didn't bring it home to us. So now, of course, I am worried about the flu.

The wonders never cease....:rolleyes1

So I am going back to Torchwood. I love my TV escape. I could clean to pass the 2hrs.

days? how about weeks or months? Then one of them will come along and say or do something and it gets better again. Just keep in mind that you are doing th best you can and SOME DAY they will thank you for all youve done.

Might be a reminder to call our own parents and thank them for what they did for us :)

:goodvibes You're so not alone! I have many of those days! Some days I just have to "work late" - there's always a lot of DIS to read! :goodvibes

Good luck! I'm sure the family loves you and will show their appreciation some day. I feel like crap today and point blank told DH what I wanted him to do (take care of me, watch the kids) but instead he played on his Crackberry and let the kids run wild. Gotta love it! :sad2:

Yes, I know those days well :)
:hug:to you, it will pass, tomorrow is a new day, thankfully!
Just remember, that it may not feel that way, but you are very much appreciated.

Got any room at that pity party for me? My husband is upstairs pouting right now, and I don't even want to look at my daughter, let alone speak to her. She was an ungrateful brat all long weekend while we were camping (our last camping weekend, like, EVER!) She whined so much all summer that we are pulling our trailer out of the permanent site and selling it! Misery shouldn't cost this much money!

My son and the dogs are still in my good books, though. He watches what his sister does and does the opposite. Smart kid.

Smart boy indeed. DS5 does the same thing, and on occasion when he notices my frustration with DD, he rubs my shoulders. :littleangel:

My husband went out and got himself Chick-Fil-A for lunch (while I was cooking fried chicken, macaroni and corn), then wondered why I shot him daggers when he asked if we could have pizza for supper! Um, no. He can have the leftover chicken.

Oh yeah, I've had those days.
