I just cooked 7 pounds of baked beans for 2 hours for a dinner that isn't until NEXT WEEK! I knew the Cub Scout Blue and Gold dinner is the 23rd. But somewhere along the week, both DH and I got it into our heads that it was tonight. He couldn't go so I got everything together, 7 pounds of molten lava into my car, got to the church...and there was a pancake dinner going on and NO CUBSCOUTS. What made it worse was one of our Den leaders was working at the pancake dinner! So I asked someone there if they wanted the beans and they said they were going to the mission tomorrow and would take them. So at least I didn't have to take them home, and they didn't go to waste. And...they were cleaning up and gave DSs as many of the leftover pancakes and sausages to go as they wanted. So we had "dinner".

I can remember my phone number from 30 years ago and my Kindergarten teacher's name (Mrs. English), but I can't remember that the 23rd is NOT 2 days after Valentine's Day...what a moron..

Sorry but that sound like something I would do!

I once got my dd ready for a Halloween party and showed up at the house only to find no cars there. Turned out the party was the next day!!!

Thank you, that makes me feel better that I am not alone in my insanity.;)

OMG! I can't stop laughing over this. I had a panic attack the other day about making a cake for our Church Homeless mission cause I thought it was due on Monday. Fortunately, what little sanity I have left told me they always call me the day b4 its due. Sure enough, its due the 26th.

This would so totally be me:rotfl:

Maybe someday you will look back on this and laugh like we are doing now. :rotfl:

I remember sending my son to school dressed as an Indian. When he got home, he told me that it was the wrong day to dress up. Oops.
