AHhh the thought of the white sparkling glittery stuff that I LOVE so much. I do live where we get snow, havent had any yet this year but I am awaiting patiently... *sign* CAN"T WAIT!!
I love being snowed in with my family, having the hot choco and making snow angels too!! And being able to go out there on the driveway under the floodlights at night in the nicely falling snow shoveling and before you get to the end of the driveway... its covered again.... And I live in the sticks (23 mi from town) ...lol... where we have no streetlights here....

Argh! I hate the snow too. I moved to VT from NC to be near my husband's family. What was I thinking? Could you believe the twin 25" snowstorms we got last year, one on Christmas and one on New Year's? As if one wasn't enough.

My kids were in heaven last night, there was just enough on the ground so they could do a little sliding. I wish you could have heard my 3 year old giggle. But come March, I bet they'll be sick of it. Then again, that's when we go on our cruise. Good timing, huh?

We have a snow plow driver who hates us too. All the snow from the whole street gets dumped on our front lawn. Our best investment in the last several years was a snowblower. My husband actually enjoys running it. Of course, I am not mechanically inclined so I don't think I will ever learn to use it (LOL).

Snow ...... why did it have to be snow???? Count me in on hating the snow -- though I hate the ice much more! My CM daughter always laughs the first time I tell her each year we've scraped frost off the car windows ..... So far, no snow ... but it's a'comin!!!!!

Let me tell you all a story that I think will convey to you the depths to which I despise the "S" word. Let me take you back 2 winters ago. My boyfreind told me to make sure I had Saturday night off of work so we could go to a fancy dinner. I asked a girl at work to switch with me, and since she is convinced my boyfriend is going to propose, (I thought he was going to also)she agrees. Then they start calling for a snow storm. My BF plows driveways as a side job. Suddenly all plans are canceled for dinner as we will be plowing. He proposes to me Friday night instead, in his back yard. And since I had taken off on Saturday, I spent the whole day shoveling strangers sidewalks!

That's so funny! What a great story you will have to tell your children.

I have to give my husband a lot of credit. After trying all day long to get me to sit down long enough, and after about 50 bathroom trips because he was so nervous, my husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella's Castle at MK 13 1/2 years ago. I can't wait to share that place with our children (now 3 and 4).

I agree with Ann. Snow, it is a four letter word!!! The stuff is pretty until it has to be shoveled. After the plows start dumping the salt and sand the pretty turns to ugly brown. Not to mention the junk the shoes bring in by the back door. Today we had 50 mph wind gusts! Not normal for IA. Thankfully no moisture. Give me warm Florida any day, even with rain verse our cold snowy winters. Kathy

Those strong winds will be here in New Jersey tomorrow, with falling temps as well, looks like I'm going to have fun walking around reading meters on Thursday. I'll just have to keep thinking about warm and sunny CC!!! LOL!!!
