Ok, it's not a DVC trip, but...

I am going back to Disney!

We became DVC members last August with a rented reservation for October at "home", AKV. When we bought, DH insisted that there would be no Disney trips until April 2010 when we bring my parents.

Well, I stumbled into some great airfare for June so I decided to use our 2009 points for a trip (instead of banking them for 2010) and then borrow 2011 points for the 2010 trip. Anywhoo...DH gave in and said he would go so we had a great trip in June and became first-time AP holders. I figured that would be the best deal since we can use them again next year. Little did I know that those AP's are trouble...

DH decided to go hunting this September (again) in SC with his brother. Because it is during the school year, I have to take off 4 days from work....that is 56 hours of PTO since I work 14-hour shifts:scared1:. I agreed wholeheartedly with completely selfish motives:guilty:....I asked him if he would take 2 days (24 hours) off of work so I could go to Disney with my BFF. HE SAID YES!:yay:

So, off I went to start planning. Since I have no points, I looked at Pop Century (hey, this still has to be a "cheap" trip) with the free dining. I also got an AP rate quote. It would cost us $380 MORE to add the "free" dining:laughing:. And that is only for the counter-service plan! I mapped out our ADR's (more on that later) and our CS meals and we will only spend about $125 each, before snacks, and that includes FIVE TS meals. So, we're booked October 15-20 at Pop for $388!

Oh...and did I mention that we arrive in WDW the day before MY BIRTHDAY:cheer2:? I even got a great deal on airfare thanks to the budget-boarders. How does $79.20 non-stop, round-trip from Detroit sound? Oh, and by the way, I got a business class upgrade on top of that:woohoo:.

We are two adults (I am married with 2 kids, she is a single gal) and we can't wait to do Disney "adult style"

Want to see my plan? More to follow......

 Any trip to WDW is a cause for excitement!

AMEN to that!

For our meals, since we are light eaters, I have 1TS and 1CS meal planned per day. Most of our TS meals will consist of 1-2 apps, 1 entree, 1 dessert and 2 beverages. For our CS meals, which are mostly breakfasts, we will either split an adult meal and a "side" or order 2 kids meals. This, in combination with the TIW card, will allow us to eat just fine without a DDP and still save money.

On our arrival day, we land at 4:30pm. I am hoping to be to Pop by 6pm and checked into our room by 7pm. Then, we'll catch a cab ride over to the AKL for our 7:55pm dinner at Boma.

Next day: Friday, My birthday...

Up early and heading over to AK. We'll probably eat breakfast at Pop's food court first. We'll hang out at AK until about 1:30pm and then we will hop over to AKV-Kidani for our 2:45pm lunch at Sanaa. After lunch, we may head back to the AK. (*My friend does not have a park hopper so we will only do one park per day)

Day 3: Saturday

Up REALLY early and taking a cab to FW. Haven't decided between the 8am Segway tour or the 10AM horseback ride. Either way, breakfast is at Trail's End at 11:30am. Up next: Magic Kingdom (I know, it will be packed on a Saturday, but it is the best choice for that day) Dinner will probably be at Cosmic Ray's since their portions are HUGE!

Day 4: Sunday

Breakfast at the food court. Then off to the Studios. In the afternoon/evening, we'll head over to the Boardwalk and hit Big River Grille for some nachos and quesadillas. Then, who knows?

Day 5: Monday

Breakfast at the food court again. Today is EPCOT. We'll be noshing around the world, enjoying F&W, and we have a 2:45 ADR at LeCellier for appetizers and dessert.

Day 6: Tuesday

Up at the crack of dawn since we have a 10:40am flight. We'll be out of the room by 7am so we might have to get a "grab and go" breakfast, or just eat at the airport. Hopefully, AirTran will change that flight to an afternoon departure, but I am not holding my breath.
