Ok, I know this sounds a little compulsive, but...

The first trip that I did the obsessive planning thing my husband gave me a lot of grief on the way down, but after we got there and we were able to eat at ALL the restaurants we wanted to and knew where to go, he admitted that it did help that I was obsessed.

The planning is half the fun - if I didn't have the lists and the boards, it would just be the trip and it would be over in a week!

I am so glad I am not alone!! :teeth: I, too, am a Disney list-a-holic-. Last year was our first family trip and I had a little notebook I picked up at Target that had all of our reservation numbers, menus that I had copied down (including the pricing from Deb's site), and park plans of action. I knew when the parks opened, what to ride first and when and where to break for food. I even had a page for each park with what I needed to get from each park in the way of souvenirs and what I needed to bring in with us. My notebook was an invaluable posession.

This year we aren't leaving until June 25th, but I've already made the park plans (and changed them more than a few times) and have started thinking about picking up toiletries here and there to add to the list. It's much harder this year as I have started back in school full-time and work my 40 hours, plus have weekend soccer....time is limited.

My DH and co-workers think I am out of my mind, but I want to make the most of our trip. We don't have a large budget, but I want us to make the most of the trip we can. So I plan till I can't plan anymore.

Thanks for making me feel like a much saner person!!!

I have finally just resigned to the fact that EVERYONE isn't like me and that DOESN'T make me CRAZY!!! If I even mention that I'm doing "Disney Planning" or creating "lists" I get grunts and "oh brothers." It is good to read the boards and know that somewhere else in America is another Disney-holic creating a day-to-day itinerary, PS List with confirmation #'s, etc...

How true! :goodvibes I always carry my Disney lists and Passporter to work with me, to do in my office during those down times (tho they are far and few between!) Also keep a copy in the car -comes in handy when you are sitting in line at the drive up window at the bank, Dunkin Donuts, etc. But no one understands how I can be so obsessed - except my DH & DSs! (They know how they benefit from all my planning, even tho they sometimes think I am a little "over the top" )

If it weren't for us O.C.D.'s, the world would be in chaos! LOL!

Nothing wrong with a list.

or two.

or ten.

Well, I don't make multiple lists, BUT my to do list for my WDW vacation starts at 330 days before the trip (which is when I can book my flight ressies). I have things to do pretty much every month after that until take off. (Helps spread out the expense).

I also have a packing list which I stare at and stare at and stare at and then modify a little bit and then stare, stare, stare some more.

Yeah, I'm compulsive...so what's your point???

:goodvibes I am heading to North Carolina in the morning and I packed my disney book and notebook to work on some itineraries while on the plane and make up more lists! This is suppose to be a vacation and the DH doesn't know that I packed it. :rotfl: But hey its only 42 days left before WDW vacation. Woahooo! Got to love them lists. Funny part is I had a folder that I had all my disney stuff in. Well the DH got a notebook and 3 ring hole punch the other night, he put my whole folder in the nootbook with pocket dividers/with labels. He thinks I'm obessed but I think deep down he is too. ;)

If you contact my wife (Mary True) at thecruisesource.com she can send you our Disney travel check list. Included with that check list is a printable pre-trip check list. We put together a notebook with all of our checklists, maps, papers, and misc. stuff before we leave. Makes things very easy. We have 4 kids and i is easy o forget things. :earboy2:

Is thecruisesource.com a web site or an e-mail address attempt. I tried it as a web site with no luck. Would certainly love to see someone elses' lists in case there is something I am forgetting! Thanks for the offer :teeth:

Wow I thought I was the only one. Last year I even Printed on the computer individual envelopes for each day listing where we were eating, Park Hours, inside I put our money for the day.
I combine this with a master Excel sheet for Itererary and Meal Plans.
I make packing list for each member of the family along with a master of course. I have already started packing for our June Trip about a month ago. The day before we leave I will unpack and reorganize it.
I'm just that way. But it make the stress alot less knowing what has to be done.

Okay, so we all plan very well. But....am I the only one that has a plan of attack for rides? Last year was the first time that my DH and DS5 had been, and I wanted to be sure that we didn't leave anything out. (We still did) I knew what rides to ride and in what order to beat the lines. DH still thinks I am crazy for that one

This year I haven't planned out anything that specific, but there are still 2 months to go, so there is still time :)
