OK, I know this has been asked over and over again, but...

I am going to ask it again! We leave in 37 days for AKV. We have a savanna view studio. Which savanna should we request? Up until now I have not made any special requests in my reservation. But this is our 15th anniversary. We are leaving the children home and we want this to be a very special trip. I have been hearing horror stories about construction noise, construction views, and a general lack of animals on the savanna. I am starting to regret even booking AKV for this anniversary trip, but it is our first trip as DVC members. It is also our first trip to our home resort so we really want to stay there. I guess I have this trip built up a little bit too much in my mind. I just don't want to be disappointed. Any advice will be appreciated.

I know some don't want Sunset because of the construction, but I have to say, I think the most animals will be seen on the Sunset savanna because it is a limited size right now. That means the same number of animals are in a smaller area, so more visible to many.

Arusha savannah is probably the most scenic one. I was fortunate enough to get that one in May. The disadvantage I had was that I was a VERY long walk to elevators to Mara and the pool. However, I don't think that all the Arusha savannah views have that "long walk" disadvantage.

Thanks for the replies and the pictures. I'm not sure how this is done. Do I call MS and request a certain savanna or should I just wait to check in and request it?

If you are going to request, I think you should do so beforehand.
